listens, discusses, tries his best.
My primary care for my last 2 years at Kaiser, before I turned 65 and left for Traditional Medicare. I had some conditions that were difficult to diagnose. Some still not diagnosed. I appreciated that he listened, brainstormed diagnoses & treatments. Some things panned out, and others didn't - that's to be expected. But he did his best based on what he knew, was willing to acknowledge that he was not omniscient, and had an open mind. Which is a pleasant change compared to the fools that diagnose within 30 seconds, are almost always wrong, have very narrow knowledge but are certain that they know everything, and have closed minds.

Superior doctor
Dr. Bastow takes the time to listen, reviews with me all recommendations, and includes me in my treatment plan. Dr. Bastow is great for preventative services and he identified early-stage of kidney cancer and referred me to Urology. Surgery was completed and the tumor was removed and the right kidney was saved. This is due to doctor Bastow listening and ordering appropriate tests, resulting in my early detection. My 10-year survival rate was set at 90%.
