Wow! This doctor is SO thorough! He spent well over an hour with me for our first visit. He explained everything clearly (and multiple times!) His staff is also great - super thorough and explained every test every step of the way. Dr Rattes ordered A LOT of tests, and he and his staff explained each test and the reason for ordering them. Some of my doctors spend about 5 minutes with me, so I was very impressed with his delivery.

I was scared the edema in my legs and ankles looked bad and it hurt to walk. I have other health issues chronic veins insufficiency, high blood pressure, nerve damage in my neck and spine. I'm so thankful that my primary care provider Susan Bingham ARNP refereed me to Dr. Max F. Rattes. We had a lot to discuss He listened, took notes, asked questions and most importantly he reviewed my history on my chart. He took time to understand me, my concerns, fears, personality, my medical need. Very thorough a series of labs and test, x-rays sonogram same day then follow up in a few Days not weeks. Educated me how to chart my blood pressure accurately. This impact my dietary choices, motivated me to work with him to improve my health. Gave me peace of mind to see evidence of the meds and my efforts. Reviewed meds, what side effects. Weekly monitor my blood. Adjusted meds. Respectfully made suggestions to exercise and nutrition. I highly recommend him. He is also compassionate and kind.

Dr Rattes has been my cardiologist for 5 months now and the care he provides is excellent. I had another cardiologist who was very dismissive of my issues whereas Dr Rattes was proactive and ordered needed test. I have CAD with 2 partially blocked arteries and now on medicine for my high cholesterol. He really takes the time to make sure you not only have all your questions answered but a plan of action in place. He is extremely thorough in his approach and personable.

I am so grateful I was referred to Dr. Max Rattes. I used the word ‘grateful’ because as relatively new to Florida, it was really hard trying to find physicians that listened to me, were knowledgeable, and even respectable towards me. When I see Dr. Rattes, he always greets and asked me what questions I have. He answers each one and explains along the way. He keep me informed and if somethings a little complicated, he verifies with me that I understood. I trust Dr. Rattes and have complete confidence in him. And to me, that’s huge.
