Dr. Maya Modzelewski, MD

Dr. M is one of the kindest, most knowledgeable, patient-centered physicians I have EVER encountered. I absolutely love everything about her.

The decision was made in Nov. 2022, that I should have a radio frequency lesioning procedure to address my pain issues. Prior to having this procedure a medial branch block procedure is required. Insurance authorization was requested and on Dec. 13, 2022 insurance authorized 4 medial branch block procedures. The first medial block was scheduled and done Jan. 26, 2023. Results were favorable, and was told I would not need another medial block procedure and they would be asking for authorization for the radio frequency lesioning procedure. They scheduled me for the procedure on Mar. 2, 2023. When I got there I was told they would be doing a second medial block procedure because insurance required two medial blocks prior to the radio frequency lesioning procedure. Insurance approvals are prompt but getting procedures scheduled at this facility has been difficult and additionally they are unable to do any real pain management via pain medication.

I am a Disabled/Retired VET under VA medical care! During my initial visit/consultation, Dr. Modzelewski knew immediately where I was with my situation! She familiarized herself with my prior issues and background as well as previous procedures, imaging, testing and medications. Outstanding Doctor! She restores hope with her attention, knowledge and bedside manner! Thank you Doc M! You are a breath of fresh air! I am impressed!

Dr. Maya Modzelewski is by far the most attentive and understanding doctor I have had for my chronic back pain. I truly felt l was being listened to and there is a mutual understanding of what I want and need in the plan of care that we have discussed.

I have been very pleased with "Dr. M's" listening skills, empathy, medical knowledge and ability to explain procedures and tests. I was referred by a physiatrist who helped me considerably, but went as far as he could. I am unwilling to consider surgery, so when Dr. M outlined a reasonable plan of trial nerve blocks, then a radio-frequency ablation for longer pain relief, I was ecstatic. I trust her and really like her staff. She has restored hope to me! Thank you Dr. M and staff.

Referred to Dr. Medzelewski with unbearable nerve pain related to spinal stenosis. First treatment reduced intensity of pain by 50%. Second treatment another 50% reduction. Dealing with remaining discomfort with combination of stretching, walking, and leaving heavy lifting to young people. Highly recommend Dr. Maya "No Ka 'Oi"

Dr. Modzelewski is a great doctor. She listened to me and made me feel comfortable enough to tell her all of my painful areas from my spine and hips. She allowed me to tell her which area I want to address first and said she would find out what was going on elsewhere next. She has a kind and gentle caring nature about her.

Dr. Modzelewska has helped a lot of people. Treating chronic pain can be difficult and it's unfortunate that not all outcomes can be optimal, but she still tries her very best every time.

Accepted my husband as a patient, took our money and made promises of treatment. She ignored multiple requests over a month from both of us for help and never showed us any sign that she cared at all about her patients. No call backs, no intervention, nothing. Considering she's been a doctor about a year you would think she might care but... Oh yeah and their receptionist give medical advice. This woman is a disgrace.

I was referred to this clinic by my PCP to help alleviate some pain I had from spinal damage. I came to this Clinic with an MRI sent over ahead of time. Once I was finally able to make an appointment and get in I was met by a doctor who is over 40 minutes late for my appointment and then kept leaving the room. She was not familiar with any of my background nor was she prepared to offer me any sort a pain relief. Request for service after the initial copay was collected for ignored. No ethics.

Complete respect and world class customer service. My first meeting was excellent. She had familiarized herself with all my tests and diagnosis I highly recommend her and the staff to you

she is very understanding and will work with you to get you pain free.

I had disabling pain in my back. I had broken L3, 4, 5 and T4. Also had neck issues. With her treatment plan, I am more mobile than I thought i'd be. She is doing an awesome job! I will do all I can to avoid fusing of my back and neck. Most people I speak with regret having the fusion done, and, have required more fusions at a later time. She understands this, and, is working very well with me. Their office is clean, staff is friendly, and it is easy to schedule with them.

Dr. M treats me with great compassion and respect. I would recommend her to anyone who is searching for physician who listens to them and is willing and able to help them with the pain issues. She has a marvelous sense of humor and even on my first appointment put me perfectly at ease. She has done miraculous work to relieve my migraines.
