Dr. Mayha Patel, DO

I waited almost two months to get in to see Dr. Patel for the first time (she works Tuesday-Thursday). Initially she seemed friendly, and I was looking forward to working with her. Then, after prescribing a topical and creating a treatment plan, she suddenly terminated the doctor-patient relationship at 5pm, the day before my next appt. She knew I had an important upcoming event with photos and left me without reasonable time to find a new doctor. I wasn’t just upset, but shocked. I believe terminating a patient relationship is extreme and doing so right before an important event is cruel. When I asked if the office could apply my $100 credit towards one of her skincare products, they went silent. I cannot imagine any other doctor behaving this way. After her initial friendliness, I experienced a side of Dr. Patel that was disturbing. In my opinion, her behavior was arrogant, harsh, and reactive. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I'm in my late 60's and was stuck in my ways of old school treatments as I would see my dermotologist once a month due to years of sun as a kid. The treatments would always be the same. Got tired of the constant freezing and just needed to try something different. Dr. Patel used techniques to eliminate my skin condition I've had for years. Appointments were months apart unless she deemed it important to evaluate the current treatment. It's working and appreciate her efforts as old medical treatments should be cast aside especially when they are not working.

Dr. Patel helped me achieve acne free skin in a matter of a few months. She treated my specific type of acne (hormonal) with the correct medication and products. I've had one laser treatment so far and my scars are nearly invisible. Thank you Dr. Patel for making me feel like myself again! Dr. Patel is now located in Westlake Village, she opened her own practice.
