Dr. McDavid Mahaffey, MD

He is always listening to what you have to say. Excellent bed side manner. And is very knowledgeable on many health issues and very reassuring that it will get better. My most favorite Doctor that I have seen in a long time.

Very welcoming, treats you like a family member every time you come to visit. Everyone in the office and the his other doctors on staff are just the same. 100% recommend this practice.

I sure I wouldn't like him but after my 3rd visit I was lost I was family he treated with due respect, kind and friendly and friendship he even forgiven my aphasia i had stroke in 11 16 2016 The staff is warm it would et me a lot to leave him. I admire him.

I felt like Dr. Mahaffey was very caring about my medical issues and he was very quick to schedule the tests that I needed to figure out what was wrong. After talking with him one on one, I feel like he is a trustworthy doctor that I can count on to tell me the truth. Looking forward to a longterm patient relationship. I might mention too that he does have a sense of humor~:-)

Moved to Texas a year ago and this was my very first visit with this Practitioner. I was there for a Medicare Wellness Exam. There are certain protocols that are Medicare required and they were not addressed. The Doctor is likeable/talkative but was not on topic for the reason I was there. At the end of the visit I asked laughingly, if we had done the Wellness Exam. He said "you answered the health questions my staff asked? I said "no", no one asked me any questions. He then said, "has anything changed since last year" Never asked or had me respond to any Wellness Exam questions and there is a form, for that purpose. I have had these yearly, Wellness Exams for at least 10 Years. This one did not resemble any that I had ever had prior. I plan to continue there for now and not base an opinion on a first visit.

You need to do a better job returning calls. You’ve done labs for me so I can see a specialist in the near future an the labs haven’t been sent an prescribed meds not called in to pharmacy. I’m doing this review for my elderly mother.

Dr Mahaffey is an excellent doctor. Very responsive to his patients. He checked on my mom while she was in the hospital for over a month. Even though she had Doctors caring for her. Very very intelligent and down to earth. Honest with you about your health. He really listens to his patients. My entire family from matriarch to great grand children and nieces all see Dr Mahaffey. If 10 stars were available he would get 100

I did not meet Dr Mahaffey. I met with the NP Rebekah eight days ago. She prescribed a strong antibiotic for an infection on my index finger. She said she would call with results of the culture. I called the office yesterday and had to leave voice mail. No call back. So I called this morning and Julie assured me that Rebekah would call back today. I called again at 2:30 and the recording said the office is closed. So just guess how I feel about that. You should do your job. You should do your job without me begging you to do it.

I Highly recommend Dr Mahaffey. Wonderful bedside manner and you never feel like he’s rushing you. He listens and is very attentive. My only issue is the fact when you call the office for an appt etc nobody ever answers the phone. It’s a voicemail and sometimes in the next day before you get a call back. Everyone at the office is very kind that’s the only thing I see that’s different from other Dr offices Ive been to that I see needs improvement.

I did a virtual visit on July 4th he was very nice and was concerned. I had a heel infection and he called around for a 24 hour pharmacy that was open for the holiday. I would highly recommend him

Dr. Mahaffey has been my families doctor for many years and I will never use anyone else. He is extremely thorough with everything he does and one of the most caring people when it comes to his patients. We all absolutely love him!

Best Doctor to see, highly recommended. He listens, he is concerned, makes me feel at ease, doesn’t rush you out, best bedside manner, will always trust his decisions.

Dr Mahaffey is the best!! Always caring and competent. Takes time to explain your best treatment options and recommends what he considers your best option. I’m very satisfied and grateful!

This is the best Medical Doctor I have dealt with. He is the doctor for my kids and myself, and he is very attentive and will listen to you. He makes you feel like you matters and not like a patience with a $ sign in the front head to take advantage off.

I've seen Dr. Mahaffey for going on almost 10 years. All my children see him and he worked well with my son who has ADHD. Was conservative on the medications and offered other options to assist with his learning difficulties. Watched his growth to make sure the medications didn't effect his growth. He's managed my daily prescriptions with ease and his staff are very polite and kind and have a very good memory of people. Awesome all around!

Doesn't listen to patients concerns.He forces you to come in for appointments for prescription refills that are pointless and unnecessary.First, enjoy waiting a good 40-50 minutes for a simple prescription refill.He then will talk about absolute unrelated nonsense for the entire time.Finally, at the end he will try to push a new pill on you even after you've him informed several times that you're not interested.It's his way or the high way.Didn't even check my lungs/ears before he stormed out.

Dr. Mahaffey and his staff have consistently provided our family with excellent care for more than eight years. We have recommended him and his staff to numerous people because we trust Mahaffey’s diagnoses and appreciate his concern for his patients.

I highly recommend Dr. Mahaffey to anyone looking for a family physician. My kids love him. He is very professional, but also makes checkups fun for the kids. He takes time to listen and to explain things rather than just rushing in and out of the door. His entire staff is great, too.

Dr. Mahaffey and his staff take the time to listen to you and they are thorough. You can tell he cares and that he enjoys caring for others.
