I am a social worker and I have been to several psychiatrists over the years, so I have a good sense of what makes a good practitioner. I have to warn others who my not have as much experience with psychiatry - Dr. Meena Rajendren is not a good listener, not empathetic, not thorough. In fact, I would call her practice style harmful. She does not try to understand her patients and their symptoms/experiences. She just checks some boxes and makes a recommendation. Anyone seeking care deserves a provider who truly seeks to understand their nuanced experience and works collaboratively to find the best treatment plan. Stay away - this is irresponsible, lazy, harmful medicine!

Dr. Rajendren always greets me with a smile when I walk into her office. She makes me feel like the "goal". When I say, "goal", i mean that she makes me feel like I'm heard. Dr. Rajendren always makes me feel like I'm the center of her attention, makes me feel valued, and even makes me feel inspired when I leave her office. She makes me feel like my mental health can be managed and I can continue a normal life.

I went in to see her and because of my age and the fact I choose to smoke medical cannabis instead of pain pills for my broken back and neck she called me an addict. I have severe mental problems and if I wasn't religious I might kill myself thanks for absolutely no help. SHE IS BAD............ STAY AWAY FROM HER VERY VERY VERY FAR AWAY

After transferring from Kaiser to a PPO, I chose Meena Rajendren to maintain my meds. I think she's fantastic! Very compassionate and understanding. I'm really sorry that other reviewers have not had the same experience. I would whole heartedly recommend her.

My husband was seeing her for depression/anxiety, she gave him SSRI's which lifted depression but not anxiety. 3 months in she upped his dosage and he went manic. He went to a follow up appt with her and informed her that he felt manic and the incidents he had been experiencing. She told him he was just really happy. A week later I called her to notify her that he was in fact manic and she argued with me that he might be using. After a 5150 stint and 8 months of mania he is diagnosed Bipolar I
