Terrible lack of respect
When in crisis and I rarely need to call a Dr off hours but needed help with a panic attack she had her nurse call back and spoke through nurse. Needed help with immediate relief meds and had just been seen in ER along with PCP day prior. Had questions about new meds started and ongoing SOB. She told me through her nurse to go back to ER. I needed help with medicine adjustments. No respect, dismissive, no compassion, in my opinion. Go to anyone but this DR. She didn’t even have the common decency to call me back directly. Unreal!!

Not so great
Going to her appointments is sometimes a waste of time. I feel like she rushes from one appointment to another. There is no consistency. Also, she interrupts you if you are talking while reading notes on her computer.

Worst appointments
I really struggle to find anything positive to say about her. She made me feel like I had no idea what I was talking about, even about my own experiences in my own body. She rushed the appointment. She told me false information. She blatantly ignored some of my requests after saying they were no problem. She always has a very negative/serious disposition. This in it of itself is not world-ending, but paired with everything else, really was the cherry on top.

Very Disrespectful
I saw Dr. Garg as I needed to find a new PCP after my doctor was leaving the practice. She was incredibly disrespectful, condescending and rude as I told her about my medical history. She told me that the things that I've been dealing with for most of my life are because of my weight (which is absurd- my BMI is normal and I've never had a doctor in my life comment on my weight before). I suppose that if you are not medically complex (i.e. perfectly healthy with no issues at all) she'd be fine, because you could just go about your business and be on your way, but if you need any support for any conditions I would avoid Dr. Garg like the plague.

I had a great first visit with Dr. Garg. She was warm, empathetic, and insightful; asked thoughtful questions; and offered a helpful view on the full picture of preventative health. She ran all the right blood tests to get a better picture of an abnormal result I'd had in the past, which other doctors hadn't thought it was necessary to follow up on. When the results came back, she immediately sent me a message suggesting I see a specialist and had already completed a referral for me. Very happy she'll be my new primary care provider!

I have never felt more disrespected by a medical professional. It has now been multiple times that I have shared health information with Dr. Garg (based on diagnoses from previous health professionals as well as my knowledge of my health history) & she has essentially told me that I was wrong. She has NO bedside manner & no interest in hearing opinions that conflict with her own. When I told her I was nearly positive that I was having a flare up of a condition I have been previously diagnosed with & struggled with my entire life, she said accusingly, "You never told me you had this health condition" & then told me matter-of-factly that this is not what the condition looks like. She dismissed me when I told her multiple health professionals had diagnosed me with this condition, that the last time I had a flare up it looked exactly as it does now, & that the treatment I received for the condition in the past had been effective. Instead, she repeated, "This is not what _____ looks like."

Clueless. She couldn't get out of the room fast enough nor did she address any of my concerns for my 85 year old mother. Maybe geriatric care is not in her wheelhouse. If that is the case, Dr. Garg should make the patient aware of this fact. The appointment was a told waste of my time and, certainly, my mother's.

Dr. Garg is a very warm, knowledgeable physician who really listens to you, looks at you instead of a computer, and understands what you need. She has reduced the number of pills I take and fixed a condition that I have had for a long time. I heartily recommend her for anyone.

Dr. Garg has greatly improved my life by dealing with my blood pressure. My last PCP at Emerson did nothing for the many years I was with him. I have a cardiologist, setup by Dr. Garg, and my quality of life has greatly improved. Dr. Garg focused on my health needs and I trust her decisions. She finds an answer to any of my issues. I look forward to many years of her services.

Dr. Garg is warm, caring, and takes the time to explain both possible causes and possible treatments for my health issues. She respects my knowledge of my own body and my preferences for a conservative approach to medication and interventions. In a world where medical visits can feel rushed and perfunctory, Dr. Garg keeps her focus on my needs and listens closely to my concerns. She's great!
