Dr. Bhateja has been seeing me for the past few years. She helped provide a care team for me that supported my chronic back pain. I am grateful for her hard work, dedication, and support.

Dr. Meera Bhateja is a very competent and seasoned physician. She is a great listener and very detail oriented. She reviewed my medical records in great details and explained health issues that needed attention and what lifestyle changes would help. I would highly recommend her to my friends and family circle.

Dr. Bhateja was not only my parent's primary doctor but also mine. She is a very kind and caring doctor. She makes sure that your appointment with her covers all the problems one is afflicted with. Furthermore, goes with you the list of prescription and if you need any refill. Moreover, she asks if there are any concerns or questions. I would strongly recommend her to family & friends.

I am suffering from achalasia and had my first surgery in 2007. Achalasia is a disability where the esophagus is unable to move food into the stomach. It made difficult for me to swallow food & drink & I would vomit all the time, not just from my mouth but even nose & eyes. Dr. Bhateja is my primary physician for many years. She schedules periodic appointments, & moreover follows up with me over the phone (as needed) and always stays on top of the various screenings, shots, tests and recommend endoscopies from time to time to detect and address my medical issues before they get worse. In fact, it is because of her hard work, recommendation and proper documentation along with hard work of her equally dedicated staff, my insurance approved me for advanced surgery at Stanford that gave me a new life in 2015 and I was again approved by insurance for evaluation/examination by Stanford surgeon in July 2019 (for another surgery if needed for further correction) when achalasia got worse.

She didn't explain there was a serious side effect with a prescription. Lipitor that if you have any muscle pain to tell her immediately; that it was serious and could lead to death. Now that I have that side effect she won't do the blood work to see if I have autoimmune myelitis or rhabdomyolysis. She had 11 vials of blood drawn but not one of them would be able to tell if I have either one. They don't return phone calls, faxes can't get an appointment and doesn't schedule referalls as promised

She didn't inform me about the side effects of the medication she prescribed. Even after the tests unambiguously indicated that I am experiencing these side effects, not to mention pain, she still didn't mention the side effects. I don't understand why she didn't tell me. The only explanation I can think if is that she didn't know but I find that hard to believe given that doctor's speciality is internal medicine. I am not coming to see this "professional" again.
