We really liked Dr. Mason
She's been very thorough and she has explained everything to us about my health problems. We feel like she's very knowledgeable and has explained everything she's found out. I've had to see several neurologists over the past 25 yrs and highly recommend her.

Bad, in a rush.
Super Bad. I don't recommend this doctor. She doesn't talk, describe the problem. Seems that she doesn't care neither listen. Is like she has too much work and wants to get done with you. The day she supposed to give me my treatment. She didn't show up and I have to see young person that didn't know what procedure have been approved from her boss when I complained about she gave me something I'm already I was taking. But I don't want medications for Pain I want a Solution for my problem.

NO
Dr Mason was in the room for about 3 minutes on my first visit. When she did my Nerve conduction Study, she hardly talked at all. She did not explain the results well to me. I felt like I was dismissed.

Updated review: I've been under Dr Mason's care for over 2 years now. Dr Mason and her nurse Suzette have kept me sane through my Chiara related issues. Dr Mason is incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. She is so focused on you during your appointment you'd think you are the only patient on her schedule. I'm so thankful for having her on my neurologist. She's been a life saver!

Dr. Megan Mason is one of very few neurologist that actually have knowledge of a rare condition called trigeminal neuralgia. She prescribed carbamazepine which did an excellent job of helping to control the horrific electrical bolts of lightning like shock that would pick me up and drop me to the floor. She referred me to Dr. Robert Mericle in Nashville. He performed a "microvascular decompression". 3 arterial compressions were found despite none showing on my MRI. I have been pain free and medication free since my MVD on Nov 6, 2017. I was very fortunate to have found Dr. Megan Mason who knew how serious and painful trigeminal neuralgia actually is. I had Classic Trigeminal Neuralgia or TN-1. Dr. Robert Mericle in Nashville has performed over 1000 MVDs.

Very surprised to see the review from "Portland 8/25/17". I found Dr. Mason to be the total opposite! She and her staff are very professional and very courteous. Do NOT expect a typical office visit. Dr. Mason will spend as much time as YOU need answering all of your questions and reviewing test results. She is currently treating me for migraines and residual pain due to Chiari surgery, She has developed a plan of treatment that has given me hope for the first time in over a year.

Honestly, Dr. Mason is VERY Unprofessional. She will not go over MRI s results and actually show you the MRI unless asked then if so she is EXTREMELY RUDE about doing so. She has zero personality and her staff is VERY unprofessional also. I will say if you are considering a Neuro doctor, especially for MS. DO NOT choose her as your doctor unless you are prepared and educated to know Exactly every question to ask because she is NOT Informative at all. I wish there were less than one star!!!!
