Dr. Megann Helton-Rieter, MD

I was Dr. Helton-Rieter is the worst doctor I ever visited. I was her patient from2016 to 2017 while in the middle of a medical crisis. I’d had 12 hour a myomectomy a couple years before done by a former colleague of hers and had not seen any relief from symptoms. I was rapidly losing blood and had a few blood transfusions as well as iron infusions to maintain a very low hemoglobin . My hemoglobin stayed dangerously low at 6 or 7 for over 2 years. I expressed my concerns that something else was wrong only to be mocked by her. She refused to take my concerns seriously and dismissed me several times. She told me that what I was experiencing was “normal” and that I shouldn’t be concerned. I eventually left her practice due to being constantly made to feel like my concerns were irrational and invalid. Over the next few years, I was diagnosed with adenomyosis, pernicious anemia and alpha thalassemia by other doctors and had to have a hysterectomy. I will never forget how small, stupid and

She is more concerned about her paycheck than the life of your baby. Stay as far away from "Dr." Helton-Rieter. I guess they let anyone become an OBGYN these days.

I CANNOT say enough kind things about Dr. Helton-Rieter. I had to have a biopsy done and was so scared and she listened to my concerns and was so kind. She was very thorough in her answers to my questions and never made me feel like a bother even though my appointment was a very busy day in the OR. I just really appreciate her.

She’s a very nice nice doctor. Went to her my whole pregnancy. It was my first time being pregnant and was a high risk because of my age and some health issues. Had an emergency C-Section and all throughout the time, she made me comfortable and had a very good experience.

I was amazed with her level of expertise. She explained my previous testing in layman's terms. I would see her again.
