A caring, attentive doctor
I am surprised to read these reviews. Dr. Mendiratta has been my doctor for more than five years, and she always spends lots of time with me and listens to all my questions. I have a few chronic issues that are unusual for my age -- b12 deficiency, for instance -- and she has worked with me to get my dosage right. She did have trouble diagnosing my positional vertigo, but I don't blame her for that, because there are many kinds of vertigo and in our initial discussion, I had not realized it was related to looking up.

Very Compassionate and Understanding
Truly phenomenal! I think she's extraordinarily compassionate and understanding. I was very anxious about a routine screening, and she took the time to fully explain the entire process and what to expect, which was super helpful. She's very efficient, and there was no wait time at all.

More concerned with billing than treating patients
I just moved to the area for a new job and was nearing the end of my blood pressure medication. I made an appointment with Dr. Mendiratta for this and for other more pressing medical concerns, after which I came down with covid and had to isolate, during which time my medication would run out. Even though none of my other health complaints could be in any way treated or tested for virtually, and even though I went out of my way to isolate 10 full days despite being nearly symptom-free by the day of my appointment, the doctor's office still refused to give me even a 30-day extension of a prescription I've been taking for several years, not even just to bridge me to a rescheduled appointment for the in-person treatment I needed for other more serious matters. I felt like I was being shaken down and taken advantage of just so that I could be billed twice, and Dr. Mendiratta was unsympathetic when I relayed this complaint about her staff to her.

My appointment with Dr. Megha Mendiratta was disappointing, to say the least. She was rushing me to give her answers without giving me a chance to think. I felt no empathy or any indication that she was treating me as a person. She was disinterested and condescending. I went home disheartened and feeling disrespected.

What kind of medical office has containers of sugar-laden candy in the waiting room?? First clue they aren't concerned about health. Dr. Mendiratta seems knowledgeable, but doesn't engage with you almost at all; very cold, typing at her computer, trying to time the visit to be under 5min. Even the way she talks to you sounds like a recorded message she's done every hour. I mentioned by chronic back pain to her and she recommended going to see the chiropractor on the 1st floor. What?! What kind of MEDICAL doctor recommends a chiropractor, a field that- study after study- has found no significance over placebo. Clearly, she's not concerned about medical evidence. Also, why that specific chiropractor? That was weird.

Absolutely the worst office ever! I went in for a visit and needed to get a blood test done; the nurse practitioner who was supposed to do that was incredibly rough, poked me twice and basically told me to go home because she couldn't find a vein. Afterwards, I was wrongly charged $100 even though I mentioned to both of front desk women that my insurance covers it. They told me I had to pay so I did. I called my insurance after the visit and my insurance called them and found out they read my claim wrong and I was charged incorrectly. So not only did I not at all get the care/service I needed, I was incorrectly charged $100. Truly the most incompetent staff. I will NEVER return and I seriously recommend people avoid this office at all costs.

While I have seen reviews that Dr. Mendiratta is very personable and helpful I did not have a similar experience. She was kind, but it did not appear to me that she was genuinely concerned about my health. I first went to her for a health concern which led to blood tests and eventually being sent to a specialist. None of which ended up being needed. When I went for my physical she saw me for a total of three minutes and did not really ask me any questions regarding my overall health. As a physician its important to have a conversation with patients and ask them questions... there may be things that they subconsciously notice about their health that takes a doctor's inquisitive question to uncover. She also spends most of the time sitting across from you typing into a computer. Overall, she did not make an effort to connect with me as a patient, even though I saw her 3 times in less than a 3 month period. While she may be a great doctor to some I did not experience the same.

Received an invasive and disturbing phone call from a woman who claimed to be an employee of Dr. Mendiratta. The woman began rattling off private medical information related to treatment received at an unrelated facility. At no point did I authorize sharing this data with Dr. Mendiratta or any of her staff. This kind of invasion of privacy is just disgusting.
