not so good
She doesn't explain the side effects of the medications she prescribes to her patient and then charges $500s to do the nasal endoscopy. The reason she gives is the same which I knew already via a simple internet search which clearly say one of the side effect of the medicine she prescribed. She changed the prescription and the other medication still has the same side-effect and she doesn't even mention it.Suggest find a reputed MD doctor instead of going to her at PCI

Was not happy with my experience. Visit was very rushed, I was told my diagnosis, told I needed surgery and was explained what the surgery would intel in all of 15 seconds. She quickly showed me my ct scan for like another 15 seconds, not showing me my turbinates that she wanted to reduce or discussing how she would be doing it.. radio frequency, cutting them ect ect. She didn't even show me why they needed to be.. same with my "severely deviated septum" that she wanted to fix.. which was news to me because no one has ever told me I had a deviated septum, and she didnt even take the time to show me on the ct scan, She just showed me some spot i had in my cheek..then she only named off 2 possible risks from having the surgery and asked if i had questions which at the time i was still processing what she told me so i said no and she left the room and said see you the day of surgery.. Later that night I logged into my chart and was going threw the notes from the visit, just to re go over everything and i was shocked when i read that she explained all the risks with me and named off like 15 different risks, which she never discussed in office. She also left out the part of the possibility of empty nose syndrome from the procedure on my turbinates on paper or in person.. I felt like I wasn't cared about as a patient or a person. Like you're about to cut into my face, you could have showed more compassion and explained things more thoroughly. Even if I need surgery, it definitely won't be with geisler.

Great bedside manner
We had previously seen Dempenwolfe at PCI with our daughter and were not happy with his bedside manner. Our son was referred to Melanie Gieseler-Spellman following multiple ear infections. She recommended bilateral tubes and we have seen such an improvement in my son's speech and balance. We have since switched our care from Dempenwolfe to Giesler-Spellman for our daughter's care. Could not be happer.

When Dr Giesler suggested a septoplasty supporting my inner nose and a septum correction, I was apprehensive since I had one 20 years back that somehow only seemed to make breathing worse. Considering how bad my breathing was still affecting my sleep, I agreed for a second go and I am glad I did. My nose feels more open than it used to with a Breathe-Rite strip on it, and with the cartilage replaced to support it, it isn't cosmetically noticably bigger than old photos. I wish I could've done this years ago.

Dr Giesler performed a nasal surgery on my son. She has an amazing bedside manner making us feel comfortable and answering all questions. She was incredibly efficient with the diagnosis, time of the appointment, and follow up. Her office followed up after the surgery and made sure my son was the path to a strong recovery. Her and her staff are amazing!
