Dr. Melanie Santos, MD

Cold, insensitive, horrific attitude towards patients. Should have picked a career, like research, instead of dealing with actual humans. She is smart, there’s no question about that, but as a medical professional, one needs emotional intelligence as well.

I went to Dr. Santos to get help with chronic IC and vaginitis more than once, since she is supposed to be a specialist in that field . That will be the last time! I don't suggest going to this doctor ever again. I read a lot of on-line reviews and most stated what I am about to tell you. She will come in the patient room, sit down and become very condescending. Her nurses are nice, but every time I've been to her office the staff is new. Who would want to go there or work there with such a nasty attitude. She needs to learn how to treat people or get out of the medical people business.

NOT FRIENDLY - NOT WARM - DID NOT GIVE WRITTEN RESULTS OF TEST - ASKED FOR WRITTEN LITERATURE AND GIVEN BROCHURES ONLY...AND SOMEHWHAT ABRUPT- ...MAY BE COMPLETELY CONPETENT BUT NEEDS TO BE MORE HUMAN.

This doctor has horrible bed side manners. She is condescending and answers questions by telling you she will give you literature to read. She should receive 0 stars. She needs to understand patients are concerned for their health and she should take the time to inform them rather then scold or get irritated when they ask questions. Our healthcare system is a disgrace. She has confirmed this with her horrible attitude and lack of compassion. Three months to get an appointment and all she did was waste my time. Treat people the way you would like to be treated. If you are having a bad day Dr Santos leave it in the hallway. I have never left feeling so upset from a doctors appointment. Shame on you. The office staff was exemplary. Maybe the doctor could learn a thing or two from them.

She will put on a nice face occasionally but it feels fake; most of the time she is the coldest, most unsympathetic person I've ever met. No bedside manner

OMG This doctor is seriously bipolar, very rude and harsh, no bed side manner what-so-ever! I still can't believe my experience I just had with her his morning. If it wasn't for the nurse (Donna) I would had left! I went in for a Cystoscopy. Nervous and not sure what to expect, this DR did not make things any better. She was quick and abrasive, I told her to stop, and for them to give me more lidocaine to numb me, she left the room pissed off, which made me even more nervous bc she needs to come and finish the procedure. I kept apologizing but it did really hurt. She needs to be working on a car, not a human, especially a woman's sensitive area like this! Then the nurse said her supervisor was going to come in 10 minutes, but then Dr. Santos came back in and (her attitude all of a sudden got lil better) I asked her to please go in slowly and more gentle. It was better after the second shot of lidocaine and we got thru it. I would highly suggest finding someone else.

Horrible doctor and rude office staff

My experience with Melanie Santos was unkind and demoralizing. She started my pelvic exam without warning, she was abrupt. I asked her to slow down. I asked her to please explain what she was about to do before doing it. I explained I had been sexually assaulted in the past and needed her to walk me through the exam. She told me I need a psychologist. I told her that I have one, I've had extensive therapy - the assault happened when I was a child - and that my psychologist told me to let my gynecologist know this info. She was dismissive, mean and contemptuous. I left there feeling as if I had done something wrong. I left there feeling like I had a #metoo experience with a female gynecologist. I'm still astounded by that. Her staff is the complete opposite - sweet, kind and helpful.

Excellent Care by Dr. Santos and her staff. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Santos was extremely professional, thorough, informative, and kind. I needed relatively extensive repair and a hysterectomy and she treated me with the utmost care and respect. During surgery she saw an additional problem and corrected it, knowing that since it wasn’t ore-approved she may not get paid on it. Also, she visited me 5 times in the hospital and called the nurses at least 4 times during my 2 day stay to check in. She also changed my post-op checkup to be with her and not her PA which I really appreciated. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Whatever you do, DO NOT ask her any questions. She will make you feel stupid and show her annoyance. I had to apologize to HER for asking because she made me feel so belittled. Would not recommend her but apparently she is the only specialist around. Maybe that's why she thinks its ok to be so rude. Her assistance was sweet and when I mentioned how I felt, she said she is made to feel the same way if she has a question. I don't know how you can understand you body or issue but she is no help!!

Dr. Santos is fine as a surgeon as far as I can tell, but heaven help you if you have any questions or need additional clarification on anything, or--worse yet-- have any post surgical problems/complaints that arise. She becomes very curt and takes on a conscending tone as if dressing down a child. She does not hide the fact that post-surgical complaints annoy her, and she jumps to conclusions about their causes without gathering all the facts.

Dr Santos is a great Dr. She explained the procedure that I needed, the test that needed to be done & answered all questions throughly, the surgery went just like she explained & better yet I could drive the same day I came home from hospital. The office staff great from the receptionist , Danielle, Miranda & the rest of the staff I came in contact with. Great experience & I will recommend Dr Santos. She's a "10"

Very friendly, informative, easy to understand procedures. Had suegery scheduled in November , unfortunately I broke my hip and unable to schedule now
