Dr. Melanie Stevens, DO

I was worried going into the appointment because of the reviews I saw online, I've had difficulty finding a doctor I'm comfortable with for my two daughters and they're very limited in this area. I couldn't have been more pleased with Dr. Stevens though. She made small talk from the moment we walked in, was kind and took her time to listen to me and explain anything I had questions about, even with my daughters being a bit distracting. She was very sweet to my children and never treated me like an idiot, which a lot of pediatricians like to do. I would highly recommend Dr. Stevens!

She’s now a pediatrician in Lancaster. I took my baby to her and she maybe spent 5 minutes in the room. It was supposed to be a check up but all she did was listen to his lungs and left. She barely looks up from the computer and has no bedside manner at all. That was the first and only appointment that I had with her and I will be switching pediatricians.

I was so upset with our experience with dr Copenhaver at Nationwide Children’s urgent care. She has NO bedside manner and I mean ABSOLUTELY none. She could care less about my son and what was going on. She talked to us like we were complete idiots. Thankfully another doctor at Nationwide helped us immensely a few days later. This woman has the very WRONG attitude when it comes to being a doctor.

The staff is excellent, got my son in for appointment asap, no waiting, professional and courteous. HOWEVER, Dr. Melanie Copenhaver was very over confident for being a brand new Endocrinologist. She talked to me and my son like we were complete idiots for being there. We drove over 2 hours one way for this appointment, and she spent probably less than 2 minutes with him. Very poor bedside manner!! I don't want another concerned parent feeling the way that I did when I left there!
