Compassionate and informative
One of the things I miss most about living in LA is Dr. Grier. Since moving to New York a few years ago, I’ve yet to find a doctor who compares—someone who truly listens and takes my concerns as seriously as she did.Dr. Grier was the first gynecologist to truly take my pain seriously. In my early 20s, after likely struggling with endometriosis for around a decade, she guided me through the emotionally draining process of endometriosis surgery with unwavering patience, care, and expertise. COVID lockdown protocols kept postponing my surgery, and Dr. Grier became my advocate. Her compassion during such a vulnerable time was unmatched, and her surgical skills were exceptional. She explained every step of the process, outlining potential outcomes with clarity and care. After the surgery, Dr. Grier continued to support me by helping me explore pain management options and referring me to an outstanding specialist at LA IVF for egg freezing. I genuinely miss her practice.

The staff person was extremely rude and the doctor was condescending & dismissive. A great combination for a horrible visit. I’m confused at the disrespect! Do not recommend.

Stay Far Away
My visit with Dr. Grier was one of the most frustrating, dehumanizing, and deplorable visits I've had with any doctor — second only to Dr. Josyln Gumbs. I don't know what is going on with Black female OBGYNs in LA, but there's a lack of empathy, an air of arrogance, overall nastiness, and condescension. Black women specifically seek out Black female OBGYNs due to systemic medical racism, so to have Black OBGYNs actually be worse than their non-Black counterparts, is quite disgusting. Dr. Grier did not even walk in, say hello, ask the pronunciation of my name, or introduce herself to me. The first words out of her mouth were, 'What can I help you with today?' As I spoke to her, she just kept looking at her watch. Rude is an understatement. I waited for over 30 minutes to be treated like

Awful. Where do I start? The office furniture and decor is lacking. But I can overlook that. I can’t overlook how rude her receptionist is. Not warm and welcoming at all. I had to see her PA for prenatal appointments as Dr. Grier was never available. The nurse would ask me how far along I was. I was convinced they weren’t keeping records of my visits. The PA couldn’t answer some of my questions and Dr. Grier never called to explain anything. To top it off, they sent me to collections without sending me a bill first. Don’t go here!

Fantastic! Dr. Grier is clear, concise, to the point and extremely knowledgable! She took wonderful care of me through two pregnancies! With my first I was interested in hypnobirthing and we spoke about it. I wanted a natural experience. She supported me completely and gave me a book and meditation CD. As the months passed, I was 2 weeks past my due date and my baby was getting quite large. We talked about a c-section and I decided that was for the best for the health and safety of both my baby and myself. 2 years later she cared for me through my second pregnancy and c-section. She was absolutely great and I almost feel guilty for how great my birth experiences were. Her professionalism and good nature even made my c-sections pleasurable. The whole time she walked me through everything! There has never been a time where she didn't have a well thought, precise answer for any question I've asked.

Dr. Grier is amazing. She’s really friendly and converses with you as if you’re just friends chatting while also keeping you informed about what she’s doing during any procedure or general exam. Her staff is also great! It’s also a big plus that Dr. Grier and her staff are also comprised mainly of black and latina women as this is something important to me.

It's been over 10 yrs, a review past due. Two C-sections with Dr. Grier and very thankful for her. The kids are grown, healthy. We're all doing well. My experience with her was reassuring, she helped ease my fears, explained the info. The staff was great too. Thank you.

I had an appointment with Dr grier a month out, and a day before my appointment got a call that Dr grier wasn't in. I asked for the next available and it was months away. I don't get it. Her office staff are very young, and obviously can't stay organized. Sometime the front desk staff will over book, and I found myself waiting an hour for something urgent. I found a better doctor that's wonderful. Ladies run like the wind from this place.
