Absolutely Incredible Doctor
I have never had a doctor take so much time care and concern for me. She genuinely wants the absolute best for her patients. She takes the time to listen to your every concern and address each and every one of them. I have never had a doctor be so genuine and concerned. If you have Urogyn problems she is going to get to the bottom of it. I will prepare you, you will have to wait for her because she takes the same time and care with each patient so she is usually running behind. However, IT IS WORTH EVERY SECOND OF THE WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

The Absolute Best
After a very complicated vaginal delivery of my baby, I had a massive tear that required operation by urology:gynecology and plastic surgery. Dr Huggins was the first one that I felt really gave me hope that everything was going to be OK. From the beginning, I could tell that she was on my side. She really heard my desires but also was honest with me about the situation, and what needed to be done. She was extremely caring and I felt like she treated me like one of her own family members. I am very thankful that she was there while I had this experience.

Worth the wait!
Dr. Huggins is one of the most caring and skilled doctors in and out of her field. She genuinely cares for her patients and is willing to advocate if something is outside her specialty. Her nurses and herself are amazing at addressing concerns and allowing me to be my own advocate in my healthcare. Her wait times are very long and it's often difficult to schedule with her first time, but if you can put aside the day to see her, she's more than worth it. There is times its hard to get responses for questions when calling/messaging, but again, worth it when she is one of the few specialists of her kind in the surrounding area- and the only female. Be patient and you will receive the best care. I have been with her for 8 years off and on and have not experienced a physician that cares more than she does. I have some special circumstances around my ability to be seen by physicians and she has always been willing to work with me around them. 10/10!

Dr. Huggins is the most caring and attentive physician I've ever encountered. She takes extra time to listen to each patient and addresses all concerns. Because she takes such care with patients she is often running behind schedule and schedules out quite a ways for new patients but is 100% worth the wait. For returning patients or urgent issues scheduling is rather quick and easy. Her nurses, especially Heather, are amazing at caring for you as well. I would recommend her to everyone I know for UroGyn issues.

This is the 1st review I’ve ever written about an MD, but lthe incompetence of the MD & the office compelled me to write one as I don’t want anyone else to go through what I went through in the years that I gave her multiple chances to help me. The answer is there are only a handful of specialists in her field in the KC area & she is the only female. Her treatments are ill-advised by other MDs in her field for the issue I had. I could have suffered irreparable damage had I ultimately followed her advice to have a hysterectomy. I’ve consulted with 2 GYNs, after the myriad of revenue producing & painful procedures she put me through & both told me I was lucky I didn’t follow her advice. On 5/22/20, I was scheduled for a visit. When I arrived at the office, I was met by an RN named Mallory who said the MD isn’t available for your appt because she has a “Zoom Mtg.” I asker why they didn’t call to cancel the appt & her answer was I don’t know. In 20 days, I’m still waiting on lab work!

It took me 6 months to get an appointment. I sat for 3 hours and left without seeing her. It takes me an hour to drive to her office. I rescheduled. It was 3 more months and the exact same thing happened. While she may take her time and explain everything to the patients lucky enough to actually see her it's rude and inconsiderate to have someone that has waited 6 months for an appointment to wait 3+ hours to see her about their pain and medical problems.

I don’t disagree that the wait time is long but Dr Huggins spends a ton of time with you once you see her. I had surgery on 12/13/19 and feel amazing already! This is a surgery I debated having for the past 4 years. After discussing it with 4 other doctors I was happy to find a Doctor who gave me options. Dr Huggins is kind & compassionate.

I have had nothing but disappointing experiences with this doctor/practice. Phones calls and messages are not responded to, requiring me to do follow-up. When messages are left, they contain inaccurate information, resulting in distress for me. When I checked in for my appointment earlier this month, the clerk checking me in had the wrong information about the reason for my visit. And, after sitting in the waiting room for 50 minutes and not being seen or given an update on the delay, I left.

Dr. Huggins is a fabulous urogynecology surgeon. She is worth the wait time it takes to see her. She is a skilled surgeon with over 15 years of experience. Her bedside manner is kind and compassionate. She performed a hysterectomy with a cystocele and rectocele on me. It is now been four weeks, I am healing well. I’ve been treated with the utmost priority post surgery. I cannot say enough good things about her nursing staff as well.

Horrible cant even get appt. Called 5x left 3 messages dont be fooled by the answer machine saying,"we will call you in the next 2 business days". Glad to say I reported to my insurance referral they don't make appt nor return phone calls so best to say I got someone else to help me. Glad I made the change and after reading these reviews I'm putting my 2cents in. Seek treatment somewhere else. I called in December and couldn't even get a appt in April. Ridiculous staff for status quo.

We had a similar experience this week to those above on 9/21. I sat with my 84 year old mother in law for 2 1/2 hours never seeing Dr. Huggins. 2 hours in exam room 1/2 in waiting. The nurse did tell us they usually run behind, but 2 hours? We left at 5 and same story. Like a ghost town. Saw the very nice nurse as we were leaving (she saw us 2 hours in) and she seemed surprised the doc hadn't seen us. These people need scheduling help!

I don't understand how you can leave an 82 year old in the examination room for 2 hours. 4:30 appt and we got there 15 minutes earlier as they request you to. We walked out at 6:20, there was only 1 car in the parking lot. Everyone at the front desk were gone already. Really!!!!!! It's always the same story, didn't someone tell you we are running late? Our answer is always"NO". Not nice!!!

HORRIBLE. We sat in the waiting room for 3 hours waiting for our scheduled appointment. We were the only people in the office. We did laps around the office looking for someone to help us. No one to be found. It was a total mess.

At first I thought she was an amazing doctor who seemed to care but after a cystocopy regarding a bad bladder sling under anethesia, I was given pics of my bladder from post op nurse & told I probably had bladder cancer. After 21 phone calls w/NO response as needed pics explained to me plus pain meds which I never got either until my last phone call after 3 months & threatened malpractise did I receive a nasty phone call. I Do have bladder cancer although she put Nothing in post op report.

Spends the time needed to fully to know the extent of the reason you are seeking care. She is a wonderful patient advocate, and makes sure to explain treatment options in a way “normal” people can understand. She is a wonderful Doctor.
