My experience with Dr. McDonald was excellent. If she didn't know the answer to a question she would say so and then find the answer. I interacted with her almost daily over the 23 days I was a patient at McKay-Dee and had zero complaints.

She was the doctor who did my neurology consult at mkay dee’s ED. She had horrible bed side manner, didn’t seem to have read my chart before evaluating me and although I’m 36 weeks pregnant with epilepsy she made the comment-“is pregnancy worth it.” Luckily my husband was too stunned to say something then and I was out of it, but you just shouldn’t say that. She may be smart but out of the 10 neurologists I have seen over the last 10 years, she was the second worst I’ve encountered.

I asked questions with the response I don’t know several times. She doesn’t even know me and judged me right up front based on a simple observation that was so wrong about who I am. She did not seem to care about what I am going through. She sent me home with no medicine or instruction sheet and I felt another seizure coming on in the bathtub that night and tried to get out and I fell straight on my face and had a major seizure when I hit the floor. I do not recommend seeing this doctor.

She seemed very burned out. She diagnosed my dad's stroke condition before she even looked at the very expensive test she had ordered an hour befor. She was on her phone the same time she was trying to examine my father. He was very confused not knowing she was talking on the phone or to him. She was not very helpful to talk to. She keep pushing him to answer the same question. After the fifth attempt I stepped in and told her he does not know, do not push it. i will be getting another Dr.
