Dr. Melissa Nissen, MD

Dr. Nissen is a thoughtful physician. She explains the procedures to be used with precision and checks to see if the patient understands. My first encounter was the removal of two kidney stones. I was impressed by her approach to explaining what needed to be done. Her communication skills of complex medical procedures is impressive. ( I taught communications at the University level) I was so impressed I transferred my urological care to Dr. Nissen. She scheduled an MRI. The MRI revealed cancer. Being proactive, she scheduled a biopsy. Once it was clear that the cancer was malignant, she created a plan for treatment. In the diagnostic stages, Dr. Nissen was always centered on my health concerns. Of the many doctors I have encountered in my life, I rank Dr. Nissen in the top tier .
