Careless and cold
I have seen Dr. Ramirez for about 8 years now. When I started with her I was just 12 years old so I didnt have much say in what happened to me, but I always felt uncomfortable with her. She comes across as cold and heartless, brushing off my issues as delusion. When I got old enough to go in without my parent, around age 15, the appointments became painfully short and fast paced. She doesnt give me a chance to tell her whats going on. She is always eager to give me a new perscription, not tell me about it, and send me out after 2-4 minutes with her. The last time I saw her, she gave me a perscription which I soon found out interacts dangerously with another med that she’s had me on for years. Luckily I stopped taking that, but she doesnt even know cause she never gave me a chance to tell her! She is careless to the point of being dangerous, and you will walk out feeling worse than you did when you walked in. Save yourself the anxiety and disappointment and go elsewhere.

It's a hard job... no one comes here happy.
This was my first encounter with any professional about mental health and I was extremely hesitant to make the appointment. I cannot express how satisfied I am with Dr. Ramirez. She was very kind, she listened to what I had to say like no one ever has. Was very patient and attentive. Her tratment helped me make good changes in my life that have been permanent. I thought my race and sex might cause a barrier to treatment, but she is an amazingly educated and open minded so it didn't even seem to be a factor. I have no complaints.

Talk about entitlement...
This woman's ego gets in the way of helping and listening. She thinks she knows what is best and even if you have questions or concerns, they are invalid -- there is no other way than her way. She exacerbated my ideation and anxiety after visiting and I do not plan to return. That's just embarrassing for her.

Devastating experience. Melissa demanded I call my abuser (kid's dad) on spot, or she wouldn't see my daughter. I expressed to her that he's violent, her eyes grew bigger, & she insisted even harder. We were desperate to be seen. I called ex, he spoke to Melissa, & she insisted on written consent as well. PLS(!) make sure patients know you want consent from both parents, BEFORE we wait hopefully for appt, & so that we too, can make better decisions for our children. Her sky high anxiety sucked.

I'm not sure why this woman has any patients. She treats people just horribly. She snapped at her sweet staff and at potential clients, as if this behavior was somehow okay. The smiling pictures and buddha in the waiting room are the antithesis of how she operates. Pretty phony stuff! The 5 star review on Google is for a doctor who is long gone from FFW. The other female doc we wanted to see (but was booked), is no longer at FFW as well. Caution, you will be worse off by the time you leave.

Dr. Ramirez is a fantastic doctor - her office however is an unprofessional mess. I was initially told that the office takes my insurance but months later received bills as an out of network patient. They "lost" the copies of my insurance card that they took at the beginning of EVERY appointment (legal and confidentiality breach) and still charged me as out of network. After months of back and forth with their inconsistent billing department, I switched doctors completely. Not worth the hassle!

This office is horrible. There is a lack of communication or concern for the patients. I had to wait close to an hour for a scheduled appointment. Dr. Ramirez was so overbooked, that I had to see another doctor. When I finally got into the office, I was told that I would still need to see Dr. Ramirez in a month to get an extended prescription. This information was all news to me. I will find another doctor with a better run office. Hopefully, the new physician will care more for my 9 year old.
