Dr. Melissa Richardson, DO

I had a colonoscopy in February 2021. Dr Richardson was very friendly, thorough, and answered all of my questions. The procedure and time in recovery were seamless. It was a great experience ... for a colonoscopy ;)

Dr. Richardson has performed several colonoscopies for me. There were absolutely no negative effects afterward, despite common warnings of even minimal things that could be experienced. Not only is she an excellent surgeon, she has exceptional bedside manner and is very attentive to questions and concerns. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I received excellent care from Dr. Richardson. I had a cyst on the back of my neck near the spine. Dr. Richardson was thorough in the diagnosis process to ensure there would be no surprises. Great care was taken to explain the diagnosis, the risks, and the choices. She was a pro all the way. The surgery to remove the cyst was scheduled. The entire process was handled professionally. My recovery was quick and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Richardson.

Dr. Richardson is thorough, compassionate, at the ready, an educator and skilled surgeon. She takes time with you, answering questions and is not "quick to cut." I recommend her all the time!

Great experience. From the office staff to the doctor. I was comfortable and reassured. My surgery went without problems. I was referred, seen, and had the surgery within one week! Thank you to all. Dr. Richardson is the best.

General upkeep/check up for 50 year olds...

Dr. Richardson and her staff are amazing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend Dr. Richardson for any of your surgical needs.

My doctor referred me to Dr Richardson’s office. I arrived at the appointment and the receptionist simply stated the doctor no longer wanted to see me. I asked why, she said that Dr Richardson looked at my file and doesn’t treat what I have. I asked what I am supposed to do and she told me who to call. Very poor communication, lack of care for the inconvenience caused and overall a tremendous reflection on the doctor’s apathy, as well as her staff. Doctor was too arrogant to speak to me herself.

Dr. Richardson answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. He staff was very friendly.

As a surgeon, I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Richardson for the past two years during week-long surgical mission trips to Haiti. I can say confidently and without reservation that you will not find a more skillful, dedicated and caring surgeon to take care of you or your loved ones.

Dr Richardson is a fine physician but sadly, her staff is abysmal. I cannot recommend this practice solely because of them.

Didn't even make it in for a visit. Ruth at the front desk was not helpful at all. After telling me that I could not be seeing because I do not have a referral from a primary even though I have a PPO, she got very short with me and a attitude. I know this is not a review for Dr. Richardson but unfortunately the staff plays a large roll in reviews as well. To bad husband had her for his GB removal with no issues. If I spoke to pt's the way Ruth did to me I would be written up at my hospital.
