Dr. Goldfinger was my father’s oncologist. Dr. Goldfinger is very smart and knows a lot about cancer and is great at treating cancer for the time that the treatment works. If and once the treatment stops working, Dr. Goldfinger becomes hard to reach. He seems not to want to give bad news. He does not help patients or their families prepare for death. He and his oncology nurses are often hard to reach in times of emergency, and in our case they dismissed my concerns when my father had symptoms of an infection that wound up killing him. Overall, I would say that I would not choose to use Dr. Goldfinger for myself because I would want an oncologist who is there for a patient once the patient is terminally ill and close to death.

Dr. Mendel is a gift.
There are not enough positive adjectives in the English dictionary to describe the care my mom has received from Dr. Mendel Goldfinger. From her first appointment, he showed a level of care we never experienced. He is a gift from God. He is an authentic, genuine, caring oncologist who was determined to enable my mom to have a better life. He sat down next to my mom and answered every question we had. Leading up to mom’s transplant - he spent hours on the phone explaining every step of the process and answering the hundreds of questions that Google could not answer and any child would have when their mom, their hero, was about to undertake the riskiest procedure of her life. Together, we were able to make an informed decision on the course of treatment mom would receive. We are forever grateful that Dr. Goldfinger was willing to take the chance on a high-risk patient and provide her with a desperately needed bone marrow transplant.

A special doctor with a brilliant mind and a heart of gold. He has a thorough understanding of his patients and provides unparalleled medical care. I cannot imagine going through 6 grueling rounds of treatment without the support and medical guidance I received from Dr. Goldfinger. Every concern I had was taken seriously and his clinical judgement proved to be life saving. He is one in a million. Highly recommend him.
