Godwin
They were wonderful to start off with then my was in need of help. My husband had beat me to calling leaving a message for the on call psychiatrist to return his call. When Dr. Godwin called him back my husband told her lies that was against me. I had also left a message for Dr. Godwin to call me back as she did but, she wouldn’t allow me to say anything. I answered the phone she said, “you have a criminal charge on the client I have nothing to say” then hung up and refused to call me or my husband back being I finally got him calmed down to call him to tell her the truth. Dr. Godwin went back and told her employees to not speak to me about my husband at all. She must have told them to be rude and hateful to me as well as each time I called they were rude and hateful. I told the front desk ladies to take me off of Dr. Godwin’s schedule but, to leave my husband on the other psychiatrist’s schedule that he has to go to his. We get there today and the front desk old lady was very rude and

Distracted. Unpleasant. Comes across as bossy and non-empathetic to needs. Introduced herself as Meredith then 10 mins later when talking I called her by thar name. Few seconds, maybe even a minute later, she stopped me abruptly mid-sentence and said “I prefer to be called Doctor....Dr Godwin that is” ...I immediately apologized and said i assumed you wanted to be called Meredith by your introduction. Awkward silence then she burst out cackling (with seemingly a fake laugh) she said something like “I didn’t go to college all those years to not be addressed properly!” Not sure if serious or joking...was she simply attempting to end the awkwardness? But to me it didn’t feel like a joke or anything funny esp when she interrupted as I was spilling my guts about my mental health and the fact we didn’t even have a good repoir build up yet to be making funnies between us. If not such a matter maybe I would be able to laugh it off myself.

Dr. Godwin is very empathetic and professional. I have worked in the Mental Health Care field for 27 years myself and worked with well over 15 Psychiatrists in a professional capacity. I completely trust Dr Godwin with my health care and have and do highly recommended her to others.

Outstanding Doctor, I have been to a handful of other psychiatrists and have never left feeling positive the way I do with Dr. Godwin. She is completely genuine in questions she asks well as concerned for the patients well being. My hope is she doesn't leave or retire any time soon because I need her with my mental illness. I trust her suggestions entirely as well as her advice to help my needs entirely. Hands down, no doubts about her skills & experience whatsoever!

Godwin spends nearly all of your brief sessions looking down at her computer, asking very few questions to get to the root of your problem. She doesn't care about details, she aims to try you on a new prescription each visit. Huge disappointment after over an hour wait every time in the waiting room...only for a 10 minute session. I agree with others, you leave feeling worse than when you arrived.
