Rude, arrogant, lacks compassion for her patients
I started seeing Dr Odom because I was looking for a female doctor who would listen to me and understand my body as a female. She had no compassion or interested in helping me figure out essential what was going on with my hormones at the time. After running only a few test, she told me to stop worrying about it and that there’s nothing wrong. I ended up finding a wonderful doctor who took the time to run test and really listen to what was going on with me. He found out I actually DO have a hormone issue and since then he has helped me get better. Every appointment I went to with Dr Odom she was very rude and arrogant. She really thinks she knows it all and has nothing else to learn. After reading through all of her reviews, I’m glad to know I’m not the only one.

Rude
I have never had such an awful experience with a doctor before. The condescending nature in which she spoke to me was rude and downright disrespectful. When ego and pride are as big as hers, you stop learning because you think you know it all. Unfortunately, her ego gets in the way of patient care, so I will be seeking care elsewhere. Even though I may not have as many college credit hours as her, I can assure you, my intelligence is not beneath hers. She needs to get down from the high horse she has placed herself upon so that she can see she still has a lot to learn. Hopefully, she’ll grow up soon and realize this. Wisdom does come with age. All that being said, unless you like being treated like dirt, I’d continue on with your doctor search.

Lacks bedside manner
She does not actively listen and engage. She was bossy and disrespectful. She lacks genuine care and concern. Not at all what I am looking for in a primary care provider.

Terrible communicator lacking skill
Dr Odom’s skills are limited and yet her office staff are happy to schedule things she’s not capable of and waste people’s time, rather than refer. Guess they need to grab their chunk of insurance money to cover their paychecks. I specifically confirmed beforehand what the appointment was being made for and that Dr Odom would be able to do it. No one in the office knew what I was there for - they thought it was a problem that’s been present over a year, so I guess the phantom who runs their messages doesn’t communicate at all with the rest of the team. Disgusting lack of ability and care from a medical practice.

So unprofessional, demeaning, and disrespectful that she had me in tears. She also provided incorrect medical information, I.e. the flu is bacterial, strep can only be caught through kissing or drinking the same cup. She tried to convince me not to do a flu or strep test because “it won’t matter you waited too long.” I will be changing doctor offices because of her.
