Dr. Michael Bernstein, MD

I was referred to Dr. Andrew Bernstein after a car accident. He was to help fix a facial fracture. Once again, I was referred to him. He treated me like I walked in off of the street begging him for mercy. He came in and it was clear that he had the mindset of not doing the surgery. He spoke in a very demeaning manner, explaining to me and my wife how one can survive breathing without 100% clearance in their nostrils. I had a fracture, my nose was displaced and I was still dealing with a concussion. I notified my family doctor who reached out to their team and denied the request for surgery that Bernstein sent because in his words he would “Submit requests and do the surgery if I felt that I absolutely had to have it”. My face was broken. My family doctor passed on his request, got together a team of fully compassionate and capable doctors, and got me taken care of immediately. I would not recommend this man unless you walk in with an open checkbook.

Dr. Bernstein is a phenomenal surgeon. He has excellent bedside manner and has very talented skills. His work is truly phenomenal and he is the only surgeon I will go to. Couldn't recommend him more.

I was kept waiting approximately one hour, during which time, three different women--a resident and two that I assume were nurses--came into the exam room and took information from me. Dr. Berstein himself spent only about five minutes with me and suggested I see a cosmetic dermatologist.

Great surgeon. Straight forward answers with confidence. Gave me my life back after a long struggle with a stage 4 pressure wound. Nice guy. Staff at St. Mary’s always friendly and compassionate.
