SHOWED UP FOR CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT AND SAID INSURANCE WAS OUT OF NETWORK !!! REFUSED TO TAKE MY CASH ! HORRIBLE AND RUDE OFFICE STAFF ! DO NOT WASTE YOUT TIME. MY HUSBAND HAD KNEE SURGERIES WITH SAME EXACT INSURANCE POLICY WITH DR. BLACKWELL !!! TOTALLY UNORGANIZED AND UNPROFESSIONAL !!!

His level of professionalism and sense of humor. I felt like a brand new person right after the surgery.

Had elbow surgery today by Blackwell. Prior to surgery, he walked in my room (late), looked at vitals and left. No questions, no explanations. After surgery, never saw him, he did not check on me at all. I was sent home w Tramadol script that turned out to be very insufficient for pain level. When I called later in day for a better med for the increasing pain, his staff said Blackwell will not prescribe any type narcotic pain meds and the Tramadol (or Acetaminophen #3) were my only choices. Period. Even for surgical pain. When I told the staff the pain was really bad and the Tramadol was not providing any relief, they suggested I contact a pain management doctor. For surgical pain, really? Blackwell is not concerned about patient care one bit. STAY AWAY!

I have been a patient of Dr. Blackwell’s for 15 plus years. Anytime I have had an orthopedic problem he has been there to help. His staff Izella and Maya are not only friendly but extremely helpful. Those 2 ladies are a true blessing to an already caring office.

Horrible physician horrible staff

I paid $25 cash for a referral they never filled out the referral the doctor never called me back then they said I did not give them the money then they finally mailed me my money back

February 2020, Dr Blackwell is AWESOME. He performed knee surgery, repairing my torn meniscus in several places, removed a cyst and floating objects in my knee along with cleaning up my arthritis. I was able to walk like a new person again, NO pain, no crutches after day 1 from surgery. I have been going to Dr Blackwell over 10 years, he has performed two shoulder surgeries for me and now my knee surgery. He is very personable and I highly recommend him.

Total knee replacement 5/2000. Put my leg on crooked. Never saw me for 6 days in the hospital or any follow ups.. Had a tech takecstaples out early leaving gaping wound. Told tech to put steroids strips on and get me out of there! Had a revision from new dr and it could not be fixed.

Horrible physician, unprofessional staff, had to see another physician for surgery to perform surgical procedure that Dr. Blackwell supposedly performed six months ago and had to have a nerve graph to (hopefully) regain feeling and sensation in digit due to Dr. Blackwell severing a main nerve. In turn costing me additional surgery, pain, money, and time absent from work. Reported having no feeling in one side of digit and numerous times only to be told "it come back with time".

We have used Dr Blackwell for knee and shoulder surgery. Also for sprains and other injuries. He has been outstanding.

i FOUND HIM TO BE PUNCTUAL, COURTEOUS, AND PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD RECOMMEND DR. BLACKWELL FOE YOUR ORTHOPAEDIC PROBLEMS.

He doesn't really explain what's wrong very well, nor does he really answer your questions.

Dr. Blackwell is an excellent doctor. I had hip replacement surgery and my recovery has been great! Dr. Blackwell was very thorough in explaining the procedure to me prior to the operation and after surgery my follow-up visits were great! I highly recommend Dr. Blackwell if anyone is in need of a hip replacement surgery. Also his office staff are very kind, friendly and helpful.

I saw Dr. Blackwell today for the first time and he was a nice gentleman... told me what was going on what our next steps would be and scheduled my surgery before I left his office... his staff ( I didn't get her name am sorry ) was a sweet friendly lady who I look forward to talking to again ...actually met her in the elevator on the way to his office and she was just so sweet.
