Failed to do an assessment
Dr. Blake saw me in an emergency room. Without touching me he wrote in his notes that I had a pulse in the back of my leg and my leg did not feel warm. (I note that the nurse did not touch me either, so he could not base this assessment from what she stated). He also wrote in my notes that my pupils were equal and reactive, but he never examined my eyes. He wrote that my abdomen was soft and that he heard active bowel sounds, and that my lungs were clear to auscultation, but he never touched me with a stethoscope or with his handsBased solely upon what he heard from the nurse’s triage assessment (who also did not touch me except to place a blood pressure cuff on my arm) he had already made a diagnosis standing just inside the exam room door. He never touched the leg that was causing severe pain, and he misdiagnosed it. I must add that I was not looking for pain medication; I was concerned about the safety of flying out of state the following day.

Thorough, professional, shared tips on good food
Recently saw Dr. Blake for an issue I am having with my blood pressure. He was so knowledgeable and knowing what I know now makes me more motivated to stick to his recommended regimen. We even spoke about our favorite spots to grab the best roast beef when I visit my family in Maryland later this month. A physician and a human being! Thank you, Dr. Blake

I was petrified walking into the emergency room in Ocean Medical Center. I had severe pain and with my existing diabetes and high blood pressure I was extremly worried. Dr. Michael Blake was the most AMAZING smart and confidant diagnostician. He not only put my mind at ease, but set me on a course with a new regimin of medications which not only worked better for me, but additionally counselled me for a healthy diet and lifestyle. I owe my health and happiness to Dr. Michael Blake. God Bless you!!

My 18 year old son was admitted through the ER at Brick Hospital. Dr Blake came in to our room at 5am to check him. He was immediately CONDESCENDING. He talked down to us both, and the nurse. Nasty. Then seemed shocked and appalled that I had NO questions for him. My only question would have been, "Why did you become a doctor when you have ZERO COMPASSION for your patients?" Get off your high horse Dr. Blake.

If you get him, ask for a new doctor. I came to this hospital in Ready Care before being admitted. He ended up first being my doctor in RC. If you do get him don't expect him to have any bedside manors. He was combative, and arrogant. You can't ask him any questions without getting an attitude. When i was admitted to a room and he came in, he again gave me attitude, argued with me, and wouldn't listen to anything I was saying. He wouldn't give me the correct dose of medicine I needed. Horrible
