Initial Visit was fine
The wait time was not long. He was very personable. He ordered labwork. We discussed my hesitation regarding taking bone strengthening medication. I agreed to try it. My follow up visit was one month later. By week 3 of taking the bone medication, I had pain in my left shoulder and both of my legs. I stopped the medication. These were exactly the side effects in reviews I had read which made me not want to try this medication. Follow up visit, labs were fine. He asked about the bone medication and told him I stopped it and why I stopped it. He wanted me to try another bone medicaation. I said no. I also talked about the PT my Orthopedic surgeon ordered to strenthen my muscles and felt it was too agressive. He did not like that either. His tone became condescending and dismissed my concerns. I get the impression he is a 'My way or the highway' kind of doctor. Well I am a 'My body, My choice' kind of women. He needs to lose the cocky attitude. I've moved on.

The guy doesn’t about his patients. He’s unprofessional, he doesn’t listen. He’s grumpy, blames his patients. Idiotic

This group is Gold
The team at Blum Internal is pure gold. Appointments are easy to get, they are thorough, listen and take your concerns and your health serious. You can text prescription refill requests, authorization and referral requests and they typically respond in an hour and keep you updated through the process. Unfortunately, another facility was not as on the ball and two days before an appointment I waited 6 month decided they needed a new authorization. Christine turned it around so I didn't miss the testing. My entire family sees this group. Dr. Blum is also the hospitalist at Stuart North so your team will be in charge of your care if you are hospitalized. Not true with other providers. Fully recommend and wholeheartedly trust the Blum Internal Care team

Superb Care
I was referred to Dr Blum’s practice in 2016 after an ER visit, and I saw one of the Nurse Practitioners. Ever since then, I have been seeing Jennifer Burgess ARNP, and there are hardly enough superlatives to describe her. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring. She listens well, and carefully considers and explains medication she might order. She respects me and my opinions or preferences regarding my care. In my opinion, she is an excellent practitioner.

Great care and service
My husband and I have been seeing Dr Blum and Melanie for over 2 years. They are very accommodating and through.They take time to explain and look into all results of blood work and have made great diagnosis and referrals as needed.The office staff is also helpful and professional.

Great care
After years of skipping out on doctors visits, I found myself in need of seeing a doctor. Chose from a list from my insurance and got lucky. Like any doctors in the area they are very busy but the office staff worked with me and I eventually got a sooner appointment. I’m getting long needed care and my experiences have been great. Wait times were minimal and I’ve found that they take the time to hear me and thoroughly review all my concerns.

Excellent Practice
I have been a patient of this practice for at least 10 years. I always feel like I have been treated with care, attention to detail and respect. Any questions I have are answered in a way that I am able to understand. I have recommended this practice to friends and will continue to do so. I have been seen by Dr Blum as well as Jen, one of his nurse practitioners. I typically ask for Jen, however if she is not available I won’t hesitate to take an appointment with Dr Blum.

Unbelievable service
Couldn’t get in anywhere. Called Dr. Blums office when I was sick, they got me in the next day. Prescribed me what I needed and I felt amazing in no time!

Unprofessional and no bedside manners
Had an appointment and was not seen until approximately 2-hours after my appointment. He was mostly concerned about where I relocated from instead of my medical condition. None of my health conditions were addressed at this visit, highly disappointed with Dr. Blum. Will not be returning and do not recommend anyone looking for medical care visit this physician.

The nurse practitioner is great, but the support staff in not good. They never pick up the phone, you have wait a long time to be seen even if you have an appointment, I had UTI show up in my urine test and no one called to let me know. I had to text and say I was feeling sick for them to look at my results and let me know that I had UTI. My last appointment, where I finally gave up, they called to confirm my appointment and I asked if everything was ok with my insurance and they said yes. When I should up to my appointment they said my member number was incorrect and I needed to call my insurance if I wanted to be seen. I had just used my same insurance card the day before. Horrible support staff.

We tried
My wife and I had initial visits set up with Dr Blum. Completed all paperwork prior and arrived at 140PM for our 2PM and 230PM appointments. At 330PM, with neither of us taken and still three people ahead of us, I asked one of his staff for an idea how much longer before we were seen. We were told the Dr likes to take his time with all his patients. At 400PM, still not seen and still 2 people ahead of us, we advised we were both leaving and to please delete all the medical information we shared. While we find it refreshing to hear the Dr does not rush with his patients, perhaps a little more though should go into the scheduling and spacing between appointments. Is our time not as valuable as his?

Very disappointed
Ion my recent visit I saw Dr. Blum, I usually see the Nurse Practitioners. I was very disappointed. I complain of something and his reply was that that's what I complained on my last visit. Duh, check on my problem then! He did not auscult me. Also, he has no empathy not sympathy. I'm done with this Dr. Also to get someone on the phone, good luck. The staff is nice though but way understaffed!

Can not communicate
Meet with the Nurse Practitioner and was very happy. Was given a RX but could not get it thru insurance and was unable to reach Nurse Practitioner to discuss options ... they wanted me to come to anther office visit to discuss their RX given at last visit. What good is a medical practice if you can't reach them?

He is horrible. He does not care about his patients at all. My dad needed to not only be in ICU but he needed a CT scan. I requested to have one seeing that it seemed my dad had a abdominal obstruction. He said there was no need, my dad then coded, the first thing ICU did was a CT, where they figured out he did in fact have a obstruction. So many things could have been avoided if he just listened to his patients. He is arrogant, and gets offended when you ask questions and offer support. He does not deserve to be a doctor.

I am a colleague physician who was very unimpressed by Dr. Blum. A family member of mine was hospitalized and transferred to his service after being the ICU. He failed to see, interview, or examine my family member once during her hospital stay. He stated he was too busy to come by and speak to me in person regarding the care of my family member. I would let this physician treat anyone in my family again. Discharging a patient from the hospital without personally seeing them is extremely inappropriate from any attending physician and his care was nonexistent. He was unable to even tell me a plan for my family member and I had to make the medical plan for him.

Have never seen the doctor
I've only seen the nurse practitioner. The girl at the check in never wore a mask during covid. The nurse practitioner is nice but has not performed an annual physical. Looking for other options.

I cannot recommend this doctor. My father had a strike a few months ago and is in need of follow up treatment and his staff never calls back or answers we have called numerous times. Dr Blums office staff is ineffectual, uncaring,uninformed, inefficient and clueless. I blame the doctor for hiring callous people. This whole office needs to be closed down.
