Dr. Michael Bruno, DO

As a patient under his care as a hospitalist, i was deeply disturbed by the fact that he left the hospital without ordering care for me. The labs were available at 11 a.m. and showed a critically low result. Replacement therapy was not ordered until I ADVOCATED FOR MYSELF with the nursing staff at 630 p.m. He had to be paged to order the replacement therapy. This was so not right. I lost 7.5 hours of potential therapy because of his actions.

I was admitted for an intestinal blockage. I have Crohn's disease and it gets complicated. Dr. Bruno had an outstanding plan laid out with care. His first concern was that I don't come back - who does that? Doesn't want the money?!!! Dr. Bruno. That was his first concern. The plan was careful and I also learned even more about this disease. I'm so glad he was the hospitalist - I got lucky!!! Anyone should feel confident in this Dr.'s hands. Another aspect is that Dr. Bruno is nice, pleasant, and down to earth. I have seen my fair share of Dr.'s through the years and you don't want to see an abrupt or pompous Dr. when you are well, let alone sick. Dr. Bruno showed only genuine, down-to-earth traits.

Well I was in the hospital for a period of 4 days Dr.Bruno gave me the answers I been looking for my redness in my legs and came with a medical plan and it actually work … excellent doctor

My case of blood clots in my lungs was assigned to Dr Bruno once I was admitted on an emergency basis. The clots were removed successfully. He was compassionate, understanding and took the time to assure me that I was going to be okay. We’re from Canada and I wish I could take him back with us. He is a fine doctor who has the ability to put himself in the position of his patient. Thank you so much Dr Bruno.

Not good on bedside manner, disrespectful to the patient and family members.

We had a first time experience with doctor Bruno and miss countryside hospital. He was amazingly compassionate, understanding, and helpful! We would recommend him highly to anyone.

I was recently under Dr. Bruno’s care at Mease Countryside for a very painful back issue. His care was very thoughtful and well-communicated to me throughout my stay. He also followed up with me the next day to check on my progress and gently remind to follow up with an orthopedic referral. Very kind and professional. Thank you!

My daughter got checked into the hospital early Saturday morning concerned about a blood clot that she may or may not have dr. Bruno was the admitting doctor even though he was not on site. We came down there to have tests run to confirm whether or not she had a blood clot meanwhile being in excruciating pain the whole time never met with the doctor he never came into her room and checked her out. long story short it's Monday at 4 o'clock and the doctor has still not showed his face.
