Identified my pain and took care of it
Dr Colucci reviewed my xrays and proceeded accordingly with his treatment. He told me what to expect down the road, and gave me advice and recommendations for self care after his treatments. I am 81 years old, very active, relatively pain free, and Dr Colucci is responsible for the success of the current condition involving my rotator cuffs and my mild degenerative hip arthritis.

Rude, doesn't care
Found out I had torn my ACL, this dr. said that because I wasn't 18 years old and I was overweight that he wouldn't do the surgery. OK, these are not lies, but you don't have to be so bluntly rude about it.

“Too young” to fix a bone on bone knee?
My mother left after being on the endless injection train. She was at this practice for 3 years and after seeing the doctor only once for 15 minutes, she only saw nurses and got injections. Her knee was bone on bone. After seeing her new doctor, they were shocked she’d only been seen once by the doctor and they told her she needed surgery and as soon as 1-2 months from now!!! Terrible terrible place that didn’t listen to her and told her she was “too young” for knee replacement. Well bone on bone is what it is-it doesn’t care about your age!!

My husband has been battling knee pain for at least 7 years. His ortho offered the same surgery from 5 years ago. My husband refused. Because Dr. Colucci was so good with my shoulder, decided to have him look at my husband. He reviewed all previous records before we could even make an appointment. (I'm impressed because he was taking his time without knowing if he would get paid for it.) When Dr. Colucci started looking at my husband's knee, he had my husband get on the table and started moving the legs to see what was going on with the hip joints. He ordered more X-Rays (hips this time) and it turns out my husband has severe arthritis in his left hip. (Moderate in the right hip) So my husband is having his hip replaced. Ironically, the same thing happened to his father -- severe knee pain followed by hip surgery. His surgery is scheduled but I am confident all will turn out well. Dr. Colucci takes the time to make sure his diagnosis is correct. That is priceless!

Fantastic doctor. Tore my rotator cuff very badly. Dr. Colucci warned me the surgery might not work which it didn't (some of the pictures of the muscles made them look like feathers -- boy, did I tear it up!!) Sent me to Dr. Volushin to see if it was reparable. It was not. Told me to try dealing with it and if I could not, I would need a reverse shoulder replacement. After 18 months, I gave up. Went back, he scheduled the surgery with the warning that it would never be what it was before I tore my rotator cuff. Now 6 months after the surgery, I rarely have pain - not like before when it could be constant but when I use my shoulder in a way that I am not strong enough for. It warns me when I over do. My life is so much better!!

Dr. Colucci performed rotator cuff surgery that turned out VERY well; i.e. I resumed all activities after my PT. When I decided it was time to look into replacing my knee I consulted Dr. Colucci. He's professional, up-front & honest in his explanation of both the before and after surgery expectations. Very down to earth, & that made it even easier to place full confidence in his diagnosis / prognosis. More importantly, everything went according to his outline, & I couldn't believe how great I felt after my PT. VERY pleased that I made the decision to have Dr. Colucci "do his thing" on my knee!!
