Dr. Cooney did my arthroscopic left knee 20 years ago and I have never had a problem since. In April 2023 I had a plateau femur fracture. Dr. Cooney was amazing with me explained everything I would continue and do continue to refer patients to him.

Find a better doctor
Will never go to this doctor again. Didn’t solicit information about my symptoms. Didn’t even do a physical exam! I tried to politely tell him about my issues with pain in my upper leg and some of my thoughts about it and he appeared to not think my opinions were of any value. He told me what he was going to do - cortisone injection without even discussing it with me. I didn’t even get a diagnosis of my condition from him - had to ask the nurse! Was also there for about 3 hours for what should have been 30 minutes. I would never go back to him.

Dr Cooney is an excellent surgeon. He is caring, concerned and listens to the patient. He operated on my shoulder, relieved pain immediately and surgery was highly successful. Dr Cooney will be my surgeon for a total hip replacement in January 2021.

didn't bother to examine patient. walked in and out of room 3 times during "assessment" asked exact same questions that were asked on written intake form. Wrong Diagnosis!

Appt at 12:30. Showed at 12:15 to do paperwork but told to come back at 1:00. Came back only to be told they were still not even done with the morning patients & would take lunch as well before starting my appt (putting me at least 90 mins late). I tell them to reschedule which was annoying but fine until (blond) receptionist says he's a surgeon so delays are expected. Over scheduling & hours of delay are not acceptable unless you have the courtesy to call your patients and push back appts.
