I was a patient of Dr. Daley's from birth to 23 years old. I have multiple special healthcare needs. While I wasn't always grateful for Dr. Daley, having entered the adult care system, I realize how lucky I was. In addition to my special care needs, in my late teenage years I navigated abuse from unaccepting parents as an LGBTQ person and an eating disorder resulting from this. Dr. Daley went out of his way to make sure I was okay, giving me frequent hour-long appointments at the end of his day. He navigated my family situation with the utmost cultural humility and continued caring for me after I went to college. Rather than just focus on my physical wellbeing, he truly cared for me as a whole person, often asking how I was coping, sharing details of his own life, and giving me advice at a time when I needed it. He even vouched for me to help me avoid discrimination by my school. He has truly done more for me than any physician is ought to. He's the best physician I've ever had.

My stepson has CP and limited mobility, and his care requires many doctor's visits. Transporting him can be a challenge and requires a walker or wheelchair. His dad works tirelessly to be certain he gets the best care. His work is 50 minutes from his son's school, and his son's school is 35 minutes from Dr, Daley's office. Dr. Daley just canceled his appointment because his dad was 13 minutes late getting there. I feel that is unconscionable, especially given this particular patient's challenges
