Dr. Michael Davey, DMD

Just wanted to warn others. Last spring, Dr. Davey dropped our dental provider (he has every right to do this); however, he told us our provider "changed their billing practices" and had to pay upfront and they would reimburse us directly. I asked it anything changed or if we would be fully reimbursed and they told me I would. However, because he was no longer part of our insurance plan, our out of pocket expensive was over $450 dollars. At the same time, he pocketed more than double what he had in the past (collected full benefits and increased his prices). I tried multiple times to contact him and even went through the BBB which he failed to respond to. The delay in writing this review was to give him time (eight months) to reach out to us. I believe he is a good dentist; but his dishonestly resulted in our family changing dentists. Fortunately, we are VERY happy with our new dentist.

I am a fellow dentist in Plattsburgh. I refer patients with complicated situations to Dr. Davey, and have been impressed with the results. The feedback from the patients has been all good. He is an excellent dentist.
