Not a good experience!
I was referred to Dr. Foote for cataract surgery. My experience was awful. After a 3 hour wait for surgery, the cataract surgery procedure was rushed! I told Dr. Foote I felt pain and he said it was almost over. Terrible bedside manner. I hope my vision will improve but now I’m worried. Find another doctor.

Dr. Foote has been very professional and a very good doctor to communicate with. His office staff is very courteous and friendly. I’ve had cataract surgery on both eyes and I have been very satisfied with his work. I highly recommend this doctor.

Don't go here. Overbillers.
I went to this provider for an annual diabetes eye check. On top of my copay, they billed me an extra $52 for testing that my PCP did not order and justified it by burying 'consent forms' in an online check-in process that they claim allows them to do whatever testing they want, just because. Without the consent of my PCP. At the recommendation of a friend that is a nurse practitioner, I reported this office's practices to BCBS. I'm sure they appreciate paying for unnecessary testing. I work for UTEP and have good insurance, so it was “only” $52 for that completely unnecessary exam for me. But based on what insurance you have; it could be any amount. Are you prepared to pay $104 for one doctor’s appointment where I only saw the doctor for 20 minutes? No? Then, don’t go.

Dr Foote is very knowledgeable eye doctor & surgeon..I had lasik surgery about 30 yrs ago..a cyst started growing under lens from my lower eyelid. Dr Foote operated in his office…no pain..no aftermath problems..I am 78 & he was very kind & patient..I have been going to him since I moved from Austin in 2015..

Amazing and Outstanding
Dr. Foote is amazing and very detailed in all my exams I am always very grateful. With a staff like David Gonzales and Cindy Avila nothing could go wrong they make you feel so comfortable always so happy with my visits.

Initially Dr. Foote was ok. After several years he no longer took much time with patients. The final straw for me was when I was told I had glaucoma and it had never, in any previous appointments, been mentioned as a possibility. Just boom! You have it, here are eye drops and see you at you next appointment! Wait times became horrrndous at upwards of 3-4 hours. Very disappointed in him and his staff.

I used glasses for about 10 years and wanted to get LASIK surgery. I was referred to this place by my sister who had PRK here. David was very informative about the procedure and details. I now have 20/20 vision and enjoy seeing the world around me. Dr. Foote was helpful and answered any questions I had. The surgery took only 15 minutes and was done.

I had been Dr. Foote's patient for five years. He is very professional and capable. On the other hand, his staff is very unprofessional and have a nasty attitude. They talk over you and in a very condescending way. I tried to explain the issue to the lady who answered the phone, and she would not let me speak. Once I was able to tell her what the issue was, she said it was not important enough, that Dr. Foote would only see me if I had a serious problem like a detached retina, even though I was an existing patient and had an appointment that I made a year in advance. She also said I would need to see a different ophthalmologist, who is in the same office building. She kept talking over me the entire conversation. I asked to speak to someone else, preferably her supervisor, and she said there was no one else I could speak with and hung up on me. I hope Dr. Foote has time to read the reviews, so he can fix this issue. I will not be going back to see him.

I've had terrible eyesight my entire life. I wore thick eyeglasses till I was 18 and had been wearing contact lenses for over 43 years since. Cataracts started deteriorating my vision further during the past 2 years. Contact lenses were no longer effective. Thanks to Dr Foote and his staff, I now have clear, bright, 20-20 vision In both eyes. The cataract surgery Dr Foote performed gave me the gift of sight with no corrective lenses (only readers). Could not be happier!!

Wait times are just ridiculously long and unnecessary. Staff walking around laughing,joking, standing around. While patients are hungry and frustrated waiting for 2 to 3 hrs. Feel like a number not a patient. No respect to patients. All while staff think this is normal. They sue don't wait long to charge you if you cancel though.

I called to make an appointment to have a growth on my eyelid checked out. When I got there, they started with an eye exam. I said I'm not here for that, I need to have this growth on my eyelid checked out. they said that the Dr. said I needed to have a complete eye exam first. Two hours later they want to dialate my eyes. I say whoa, I need this growth checked out. Dr. orders, first exam then check. I refuse to have dialation, make complaint. Dr. shows up and starts in on my eyes, not mentioning the growth. A few minutes later, she looks at the growth, makes a couple of notes, then says that I'll need to make another appointment to have a complete eye exam done (since I refused dialation) then the Dr. would look at my growth. I"m not going to pay for services I didn't ask for since they never addressed the reason I went there in the first place. I'll find another Dr.

I've taken my mother twice to Dr. Foote, he is great BUT his staff and/or scheduling is HORRIBLE! My mother and I waited for AT LEAST 2 hours past her appointment time. I understand every patient requires time, BUT 2 - 3 hours of sitting around waiting? I am switching my mother to a doctor which has more concern about seeing his patients and not trying to pack his schedule and pocket book. I am very frustrated with how my mother has been treated.
