Dr. Michael Gallagher, MD

I have been seeing Dr Gallagher for a little over a year after my then current Dr. retired.I was immediately impressed by his bed side manner and the ease to talk with him about my concerns. It is a good feeling when leaving his office that he genuinely cares.

Dr Gallagher read my medical history before my 1st visit; did a complete physical exam himself (not an assistant.) He asked lots of questions and listened to me and my wife (who was present due to my medical issues.) He immediately put me on new blood pressure medicine and encouraged lifestyle changes. He was so attentive, I was motivated to get my border-line diabetes under control. On follow ups, he continues to listen and explain conditions including showing me body part pictures to illustrate his explanations. I am very glad I made the switch to his care.

He's been my PCP for a little over a year. He is always available when I have any issues, he listens to me and believes me when I discuss what I'm feeling. Very genuine and thoughtful doctor. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Gallagher was amazing! I just established with him this week as a new patient and he spent a great deal of time in getting to know all of my medical background, without making me feel rushed or like a "specimen." I mean, how many times does a physician start a conversation with a new patient saying, "so tell me a little bit about yourself?" and wants to truly know his patient as a person? Far too often, unfortunately, visiting your doctor can feel like going thru a drive-thru restaurant---hurried, impersonal, and disconnected. I'm happy to say that Dr. Gallagher is none of those things. He was friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, non-judgmental, and genuinely concerned about my health. He even gave me a recommendation for an at-home blood pressure cuff to start monitoring daily, before just rushing me into having to take a BP prescription. He is collaborative, professional, and most of all "present" when speaking with his patients. I'm so glad to have found him as my new PCP.

I am one of those people who wants to know the details. Dr. Gallagher is well informed, thorough, and above all patient. He received and answered all my questions with grace and thoughtfulness. I really appreciate him as a doctor and person. I recommend him highly.
