financial incentives influencing office visits?
For many years, I have relied on Dr. Giitter for my annual physicals. However, for the past two years, Methodist Health System has consistently coded my annual physical as an office visit, resulting in a $200 charge. There seems to be a lack of transparency in how this process works, what services can be billed, and how patient interactions during the visit are interpreted.During my most recent visit, I made it clear to Dr. Giitter that I had no health concerns and felt fine. Despite this, he proceeded to ask me questions, and because I responded, the visit was reclassified as an office visit. This approach feels misleading. When I contacted Methodist Health System for clarification, I was told that simply answering the doctor’s questions caused my no-cost annual checkup to be coded as a $200 office visit. It raises a troubling question: can patients truly trust their physicians to prioritize their best interests, or are financial incentives influencing these practices?

Dr Giitter is up to date on medicines and listens to my needs .His recommendations are helpful and only when necessary Dr Giitter made a referral to my specialist. He surrounds himself with specialists who are competent like himself. His caring ways have put me at ease many times. He is not a chatty doctor and his quiet voice has a feeling of together you will get better! I would recommend him and feel good about sharing his expertise!

Dr. Giitter has been my physician for the last 15 years. I have always found him to be conscientious and truly dedicated to providing the best medical care possible. He is dogged in his pursuit of identifying medical problems and prompt in keeping you informed of test results. He has always treated me like family. He is a truly fine physician.

Dr. Giitter is very perfunctory and has no personality whatsoever. He spends most of his time with you on the computer, Medicare physicals are quick 5 minute eyes, ears, breathe, cough. He refers anything possible to specialists. He does not make any follow up plans or go beyond giving test results and prescriptions. Anyone wanting a working relationship with a dr. and dr. who will delve into problems and look for solutions should look elsewhere.
