Excellent Dr
He diagnosed me with a rare liver disease very quickly. He was always very responsive when I messaged him sometimes responding in 10-15 minutes on weekends. He saved my life

Excellent, conscientious and knowledgeable doctor.
Very conservative in giving the maximum treatment from the beginning. I appreciate that!

Wonderful doctor - caring, kind and compassionate. This man literally saved my life. Was deathly ill for months, in terrible shape, when he took the time to help and fight for me. He went above and beyond what any other GI had done. I give him the highest possible recommendation.

I have been a patient of Dr. Goldberg's for a number of years. I have many issues requiring a gastroenterologist. I have celiac disease, IBS, I've had ulcers, and gallstones. Dr. Michael Goldberg has always taken excellent care of me. Probably the most important thing is HE LISTENS!! I would recommend him most highly.

. I am going to say that for a procedure like this and me being terrified, Dr. Michael Goldberg and his team did an excellent job on executing this procedure. He and his team were very polite and courtesy, explaining the process without talking down to me. About a week or so after the procedure, Dr. Michael Goldberg and his team sent me a best wishes card that they all signed. That was totally unexpected and a very nice touch.

Exelent dr, in my opinion .i suffer from anxiety and after I left his office I wanted to ask more questions. The next day I called the office and asked if I could speak with the dr, The Dr. called me within an hour and answer all my questions. The day I had my procedure (endoscopy), Dr. came in , once again answered my questions and reassured me. Everything went beautiful, Every single person I had to deal with, was wonderful. The day after procedure, dr called me to see how I was doing.

I have seen a few different GI doctors over the last 20 years due to a familial history of colon and esophageal cancers. I found him to very helpful and funny, which is important for a procedure such as a colonoscopy. I am very pleased and will continue to see Dr. Goldberg.

He wouldn't actually listen to me explain my symptoms. He saw me for no more than 90 seconds (I've had *terrible* GI problems for more than 4 years) and he acted like I was making him late for something else and the last thing he wanted to do was talk/listen to me. I've now seen him twice and it was the same on the 2nd visit. Look elsewhere, this kind of care is unacceptable.

I ended up in Evanston Hosp because I was too sick to get home (frequent vomiting and dirreha). When tests ordered turned up "normal", he and other gastroenologist, Eric Elton, sent me home with my symptoms no better and with a prescription that hospital and regular pharmacies would not fill. He either knew this or should have known this. It took four stops for me to get home. When I saw my local gastroenologist, he ordered correct tests then gave me medications that worked.

Never again. His bedside manner was appalling (and I work critical care bedside nursing.) Initially he tried to hand me off to a Fellow. I refused. In recovery, he entered the room, stood partway between the threshold and curtain, told me "you don't need to see me for another 10 years" and actually THREW my report on the bed and walked out. My husband looked at me, and said..."did that just happen?" He acts as if his pts are a supreme nuisance. The remainder of the GI team are professional

The entire colonscopy experience at Highland Park Hospital was a 'cattle call' of an experience. They were running late, hurried me into the room, began the procedure before I was fully sedated, ended with never seeing the doctor except to shake me awake to sign papers. By the time I was coherent, I asked to see him, and they told me that he had left the building. All around, what a perfect example of poor patient/family relations.

After colonoscopy he literally came in recovery said you're good and proceeded to walk away, had to stop him to ask questions. Horrible bedside manner, there is a reason he deals with rear ends,he seems to be one.

This was the WORST experience I have ever had with a doctor in my entire life. He spent a whole two minutes in the exam room with me. Didn't ask me about my symptoms or my concerns. The one concern I mentioned he ignored. Then WITHOUT an examination he told me to take an over the counter medicine and WALKED OUT into the elevator and OUT OF THE BUILDING!!!!! I could not be more unhappy and dissatisfied with his care for patients. Talk about an unethical practice of medicine!
