Thank you, Dr. Gurin
Dr. Gurin is a very experienced and kind physician. He listens to all my questions. Sometimes I forget my medication instructions, and I can send him messages on Epic. Then, he responds and clears things up for me even if we don't have an appointment. He is also very smart and has figured out difficult issues in my heart's health. I have some artery problems, and Dr. Gurin did an echo skillfully and diagnosed my problem right away! Thank you, Dr. Gurin! You are a fine physician, and I am grateful for your care.

I recently saw Dr. Gurin in his new location as he is no longer in Boston but in New York City. I suffer from a life threatening condition that was causing a heart rhythm change. Dr. Gurin listened and reassured me. He was available by phone when I had any questions as I also suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder. He told me to buy a blood pressure cuff and recommended a few to fit in my budget. I was able to send him photographs of the concerning numbers and he explained to me what it means. Dr. Gurin was available to me whenever I had questions. I know from experience that doctors in busy, academic hospitals may be difficult to reach but Dr. Gurin was not one of those doctors! I was able to schedule an appointment and adjust my medications appropriately. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone who has complex medical problems like myself.

Dangerous, as a doctor he seems incapable of filling routine prescriptions. I'm an asthma/ heart condition sufferer and everytime I need to refill my routine prescription its a practice in patience and nerves. The general flow is that, my medications needs to refilled i get an alert that they can't contact my Doctor. Its then 3 hours of my day wasted getting in contact with a nurse or an attending doctor who actually cares about patient well-being to have it filled. During a pandemic this can be incredibly scary, if you live a busy life you want the piece of mind that out of all things atleast your medication is guaranteed to be provided, with Gurrin that's sadly not the case. The doctor has credentials but it means nothing where it matters.

Horribly difficult to contact. Especially when it comes to filling routine medication. Not sure if this is a consequence of the doctor himself or the larger Beth Israel Hospital system he works for. No alert pertaining to prescription length what-so-ever. Would only reccomend to someone who does not have any form of chronic illness that they take seriously as it's highly likely that during his tenure as your doctor that you will potentially find yourself weeks without the medication you need daily no matter how proactive you are.
