Dr. Michael Gutman, MD

Dr. Gutman has deep knowledge and experience - is always on the cutting edge of the science. He's an incredible surgeon (performed both of my son's sinus surgeries) and has an easy, accessible bedside manner. He listens actively and gives great advice and guidance. He's also honest about what to expect (both good and bad).

As my ENT physician, he was okay. The service he provided particularly his team has significantly declined over the past couple of years. The people who work for him are rude, devoid of a compassionate and altruistic attitude, unhelpful and unethical. It is blatantly impossible to get an appointment with him. Therefore if the problem requires immediate attention he is NOT the physician for you. I definitely do not recommend him if you need to be seen for a clinical problem that needs medical attention. Dealing with his scheduling team to start with will be the cause of great stress. He needs to evaluate those in his team and make the necessary adjustments to improve the quality of his overall healthcare delivery.

Dr. Gutman may be a competent surgeon, as i did not experience complications. Personally he is arrogant with a menial office staff. I had surgery in early December and i was given a release for work on 29th December. This was filed with my employer. After several attempts and denied sal con status to get him to submit proper paperwork, he fonally submitted that it was only medically necessary for me to have been out a week. ( same period from surgery to my follow up, where he told me i don't need to contact him again unless under an emergency situation. All he had to due was align his signed release to work with the time needed out. This man got paid and was one and done. I am a corporate officer, so a month without income is impactful; especially in todays world. I lost thousands in pay due to his claim for ethics which contradict his ethical release date. I never received communication, just that they submitted necessary paperwork to my employer. Horrible bedside, clinical surgeon!

Dr. Gutman gave me concern when he asked me a question that was directly related to a two previous surgerys listed in my medical history. This was a first time visit. Office staff scheduled a different test than what Dr Gutman said was needed during my visit. Waited six days to get the correct test scheduled.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Gutman since 2007. I ended up having sinus surgery due to my issues. Surgery was very easy. No complications. No getting my nose packed and only needed pain meds for 2-3 days max. He did a great job and it totally turned things around for me health wise. I stopped getting sick all the time and my energy finally returned! Very good doc/surgeon and genuinely a nice man.

Amazing doctor who really cares. He listens and explains all he is doing. He is highly skilled and he puts me at ease while treating me. He is all you expect in a doctor.

The experience from first office visit thru surgery and follow up office visit, all went smoothly and everyone was very nice. I would recommend Dr. Gutman for thyroid surgery.

Pompous and arrogant- made me wait over 1/2 hour for him. Decided that I need surgery. Went to another doctor who said that I do not need surgery- stay away from this one.

No one every wants their child to need surgery, but Dr. Gutman explained why he suspected our 17mo old son would need ear tubes (we'd suspected after a string of ear infections) and then subsequent testing confirmed middle ear fluid. He answered all of our questions and explained things thoroughly. We are SO happy a schoolmate's mommy recommended him, this was a very positive experience before and after surgery. Staff were also equally friendly and had excellent child bedside manner. Thank you.
