TERRIFIC
I had originally called 2 other urologists but what I considered an emergency, the other doctors didn't. I called my family doctor and he referred me to Dr. Howard who gotme right in to see him within that same week. I went and had bloodwork and other tests and an MRI to have a cystoscopy done. He found a small cancerous tumor in my bladder and removed it. That was 2 years ago and he has been treating me since, checking me every 3 months. As long as I stay on top of it and he treats me, I will be just fine. He has a great bedside manner and all of his staff are always very pleasent and professional towards me. I don't know what would have happened if I had waited 3 months to see another doctor.

Nightmare
Dr. Howard had been my husband's urologist for several years. My husband had a serious bout with an enlarged prostate. Long story short, he told us my husband had a benign prostrate and now he has stage 4 prostate cancer. Dr. Howard NEVER called us after his PET scan. Thank goodness we took necessary steps for better medical care. Dr. Howard has NEVER called us, inquired. It is not 'do no harm' it is 'do nothing'. Run!

He lost my MRI & CAT scan CDs & didnt even care.
Went to see him after testing I had done in another state showed something was not right with my kidney. He asked if he could borrow my MRI & CATscan CDs to show them to a colleague, &that in less then 2 weeks I'd have them back. Two weeks passed & when I called the office the staff claimed they didn't know anything about it & that they'll call me back. A week passed, & they never called back. When I called back they told me they still don't have them, & told me some excuse that the hospital needs me to sign a release. When I asked when I can come in to sign they said they will get back but never did. Meanwhile 3more weeks passed & when I went in to pay for my surgery I asked again. When the receptionist asked the DR he told her that he didn't know any thing about it. Finally when I went in for my 2 week post surgery appointment and asked one last time Dr claimed he had them in the office to give back. What I gotwas a copy made the same time he said that he have my originals back

Horrible Office Staff - No care for my well being.
I called to make an appointment. The soonest they would schedule me for an appointment with Dr. Howard was over 70 days away. At the time I mentioned needing a prescription refill. I was told No problem we will call it in to the pharmacy. That never happened. I followed up with the pharmacy and Drs. office another 3 times via phone calls. Fast forward to 12 days later I finally get a return call after leaving 2 more messages at Manasquan Urology. Today now two weeks in, I'm told the Dr. Cannot fill your script until he see's you. I explained, My appointment is still more than a month away. Their answer, sorry it's the best we can do. But I'm out of medication for weeks and you want met to wait another 5 weeks before you can help me. Now the Dr's nurse as an attitude with me. Long story short, as a Patient and paying customer, This office and perhaps Dr. has not regard for my well being. I'm pushed off to find someone a different provider who might care at least a little bit.

Office Administration Prevents Good Care
Dr. Howard seems like a good caring doctor, but his office prevents good patient experience. After sending me for a urinalysis and ultrasound to determine if I had an infection and how large my kidney stones were getting, I called for a week straight to try to get information on my lab results. The office staff were unresponsive to my pleas for information. It mattered not at all to them that I was leaving for Africa and needed my test results. There seem to be too many patients in this practice for the doctors to engage in follow up visits to surgery or to respond to immediate needs. The staff do not seem to care for you as a patient. How is it helpful to have a doctor who will not see you when you have an infection but wants to schedule you weeks out? It is just too difficult to get any care from this practice, much less good care. I will be looking elsewhere.

We loved Dr. Howard. He took care of two of my children who had huntington's disease and also my husband who had to have a kidney removed. We were disappointed when our insurance changed from BC/BS to Aetna and he did not accept that insurance. We would recommend him highly and miss him.

While Dr. Howard is a knowledgeable Surgeon, he and the office staff. rate poorly when it comes to being patient focused. In obtaining lab results the staff is not proactive, I have had to call to get get results. I was advised that they only contact patients when the laboratory results are not satisfactory. While this is more of a nuisance, the follow through on recent prostate surgery performed by Dr. Howard was terrible. There was no call after surgery either by him or his office staff to

Dr. Howard is great! He has helped when other doctors could not. His bed side manner is by far the best I have seen in a long time! The staff in his office is always willing to help, no matter what the issue may be. The office is always clean and orderly. As a patient, I always feel welcomed, and I am treated with dignity and respect.
