Seems like a nice enough guy but was not impressed by the overall experience. It felt rushed and dismissive. I went in for intense lower back/hip pain but after he saw my xrays and saw no hip issue, I felt he checked out. He told me a few things to do which, i told him, were exactly what i've been doing for last two months and the pain has only increased. His response was "do it more". I continued to push for more options and only then did he actually do a physical examination of me, which consisted of less than 60 seconds of cursory leg movements he did clearly to just placate me. I continued to push and finally got him to prescribe some physical therapy. But after this experience, I don't give his advice any real credence and am getting a second opinion.

Dr. Kain fixed my badly broken leg in late 2016 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. It was one of many injuries from a bad accident. He did great work as I managed 5 days of downhill skiing this season. Beyond his technical skill he was an empathetic listener, recognized me as a frustrated 62 year old, not ready for a sedentary life, and encouraged me to keep going. Thanks Doc.

Dr. Kain is caring, compassionate, empathetic and explains things thoroughly. He spent a lot of time with me explaining my options and answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. He is willing to take conservative approaches, but realistic about the outcome if these options don't work. I am only 42 and have hip dysplasia/synovitis/labrum tear. I trust Dr.Kains diagnosis' and plan of care for me. I would recommend him!

I have had multiple, complex problems with my hips. Dr. Kain has worked with me and my other doctors to help find the cause, and performed complicated operations to help repair the damage. He always spends a lot of time with me at each appointment, and I never feel rushed. He has a great bedside manner and you can tell he wants to help. I would never hesitate to recommend him and always feel he does an excellent job.
