Dr. Michael Lee, MD

Dr. Lee Didn't give me the time of day. He spent 10 minutes with me over 2 appointments. He never showed me the MRI not did he did all of the "complex issues" in my spine. I went to a top doctor in Chicago, got all my answers, CT and other tests ordered and scheduled and surgery scheduled. I'm disappointed in Dr. Lee. He really missed the boat on my diagnosis.

Dr Lee performed back surgery on me for a problem that had been rather severe and prolonged. I was able to have complete relief after healing from the surgery. He acknowledged it was a difficult surgery but my outcome has allowed me to resume my life again. I am grateful and would highly recommend him.

Dr Lee has taken care of me on multiple occasions. Each time he has been very professional and thorough but also down to earth and easy to talk to. His skills have provided me much relief after both a back and neck surgery with outcomes better than I could have hoped for. I am back to my active self again thanks to his skill and expertise. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Lee is an excellent surgeon. He thoroughly explained everything to us about the surgery, and the possible outcomes. My beautiful granddaughter came to him in a wheelchair unable to walk and play like the other kids in her school. Her surgery was very long and difficult. He planned out every screw and bolt to rebuild her spine. There was a chance that that she would bleed out or have a heart attack during surgery or she might even end up paralyzed for life. This type of surgery had never been tried on someone so young. Dr Lee was successful at rebuilding her spine, she recovered in half the expected time. She was only 8 years old, and had never been able to be a normal kid, always in a brace or wheelchair. Dr. Lee changed her life. KeAra in now running and playing, living her best life. I highly recommend Dr. Lee. We are forever grateful.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lee for the last ten years. When I tell you my experience has been nothing short of amazing, I truly mean it. He has the best bedside manner, which is critical to me when choosing a doctor. After many years free of back problems, the issues resurfaced in July 2023. The pain was now radiating down my left leg and was persistent. It was full-blown sciatica. The initial treatment was a steroid injection to alleviate this pain, so Dr. Lee referred me to a pain specialist. I had the injection and the day after felt great! The following day, I sneezed and I had an immediate feeling as if I was electrocuted, and the sciatic pain returned with a vengeance. Dr. Lee and his office were so kind to get me in first thing Monday morning. He made an immediate phone call to the pain doctor to see if I could get another injection and Dr. Lee told me that if it did not work, I would need to consider a microdiscectomy to relieve the pain, as my sciatic never was completely impinged. However, before opting for surgery, Dr. Lee wanted me to try a second injection first. Unfortunately, the second injection provided no relief. I knew it was time for surgery. Within a month, I had the microdiscectomy, and the relief was INSTANT! I wished I had done it months sooner. I am so grateful to Dr. Lee (and his N.P., Dorothy) for taking such amazing care of me. The follow-up care was incredible, and anytime I had any worries/issues, a simple email would do the trick, and Dr. Lee and/or Dorothy were calling me within 10 minutes! If you have spin issues, I wholeheartedly believe that Dr. Lee is the best spine doctor in the entire Chicagoland. If you are seeing another spine physician and have any doubts or are looking for a second opinion, you will not regret reaching out to Dr. Lee's care team!
