Dr. Michael Masias, DPM

Dr. Masias came to my house for my 89 year old mother. He's been coming for awhile, we've had the same insurance but now he asked for a $35 copay when he arrived when we've never had to pay it before. He was very rude and left without helping mom when I told him I hadn'expected a charge and had no payment today. I said I'd send it when we were paid. I told him not to come back.

Dr. Masias made a house call for my 93 year old mother and we could not have been more satisfied. He takes all his own calls and provided a 2 hour window for the appointment. Spent a lot of time explaining everything and answered all our questions. A doctor that does house calls is a rarity and we are thankful. I’ve waited longer in a doctors office to be seen and Dr Masias came to us.

I made an appointment with Dr. Macias for my mother because he was recommended, does house calls, and that was very convenient. He set the appointment for a window between 1 and 2. He arrived at my mother’s facility early, at 12:30, and vented his frustration by stomping around and complaining that my mother’s paperwork was not ready. He never called me when he arrived or prior to say he would be early. I was called by my mom’s caregivers and immediately texted the paperwork. When I called back to see if that was satisfactory, I was told he already left in a foul mood. I called him to clarify the obvious miscommunication. However he was angry with me and cut me off. He does his own scheduling, at least he did with me. He obviously needs someone to coordinate his appointments for him. I am disappointed with his unprofessionalism and would not recommend him to others.
