Definitely Recommend
I’ve had my last two colonoscopies with Dr. Mekjian. He has been the best Dr I have used for the procedures. He goes above and beyond in the office to perform a health health check as well as to answer any questions or concerns. Dr. Mekjain will take the time to explain himself clearly.

Kind and Thorough
I found Dr. Mekjian to be very kind and caring, and he took the time to listen to my concerns while also providing helpful information, treatment plans, and testing. He’s willing to try new ideas and to refer to other providers when it’s outside of his area of expertise.Office staff are sometimes short-tempered and off-putting when they are busy. Other times they are fine. Try not to let that sway your decision to see this provider.

Dr Mekjian is very friendly and very direct. He tells you what he thinks and let's you decide what is in your best interest. Office staff does not return phone calls or voicemails, even after my many attempts at calling at various times of the day. Very, very inconsiderate. Long lunch breaks I guess are more important to them than the patients. I'm very disappointed in the Plantation office.

The best!!
Went to see Dr Mekjian today to set up a colonoscopy. He did my last one in 2006 and made the process so much easier than what I expected. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever seen and is just totally cool, that is the best way to describe his persona. No rushing you in and out and explained everything. He’s just terrific!

AVOID THIS PLACE!!
Staff is incredibly rude (they will YELL at you both on the phone and in person), does not listen to the patient, and NEVER EVER returns phone calls. Doctor speaks to you with his back turned and never answers questions. It's an awful office. Do yourself a favor, and just find another doctor.

Just sad to see that my first visit I really liked the doctor, my endoscopy was fine and I thought my appointment today would be fine. The staff has been rude over the phone, and in person but today girl with long black hair was so rude. Made me literally uncomfortable. I can't believe it and they refuse to send my tests. Now my physician has to personally get ahold of him for tests. They no longer take my insurance and failed to tell me. That's terrible. So sad to try scam people.

Office staff is helpful; however, I will not go back to him. Had an endoscopy done with him, he didn't even let me know he found a mass, did a biopsy, and sent to pathology. Called me the following Monday to let me know I had cancer. Did not even have tact when he communicated the diagnosis. Obviously I was completely taken back because I thought everything was fine. I was driving when he told me and did not even give me time to park the car. Do NOT recommend. Horrible bedside manners.

Overbilled (double) for services. Was charged for over an hour of consultation when the doctor was in my room for 30 minutes or less. Now have to try to work between insurance and doctors office to correct it. Not a good first impression based on having to deal with this extra unexpected burden.
