Dr. Michael Moscowitz, MD

I had surgery today to remove my gallbladder. I can NOT speak highly enough about him and his team. Beyond professional and kind, he is down to earth with an amazing quality in listening to his patients and actually caring. Rare to find in today’s day. I am home resting same day. The staff that worked with me today from the nurses, general staff, the surgical team who brought me back to the OR, and even the receptionists who checked me in were the friendliest group of professionals I’ve met. I was nervous as it was my first surgery ever. That dissipated rapidly. I would not hesitate to recommend him or his team to anyone.

Dr. Moscowitz is an exceptionally capable surgeon, and a fine physician and human being, giving good explanations and advice, and actively following up. I am truly grateful for his skills and his good character and generosity with his time.

Dr Moscowitz treated me like the GP’s of yesteryear. Time was not of the essence. I have only experienced this degree of patience along with knowledge of a new patient a few times in my 80 years of life. We, the public in need of compassionate bed side manner are very fortunate to have the services of Dr Moscowitz available. Thank you to modern medicine for training Dr Moscowitz.

I was recommended to Dr. Moscowitz by my Primary.Dr. Moscowitz is very intelligent and explains your own situation with patience and detail.Surgery itself was a quick trip and out the same day. Dr.Moscowitz explained all components to post Operation healing and pain management. He is very skilled and compassionate. I was in Great Care! The hospital staff and nurses I interacted with speak to these praises too.

He answered all question I had and volunteered information about the hernia procedure. Although looking young I had a sense that he was quite qualified to do the procedure.

Dr. Moscowitz placed a PD catheter in my husband WITHOUT consulting his nephrologist, who would NOT have had him do that procedure......which then had to be removed. Why he didn't communicate with my husband's nephrologist is beyond me. Highly unprofessional. His front desk person should not be dealing with the general public. She is rude, unkind, and gives inaccurate information. The instructions for how to care for a PD catheter, specifically, how to unwrap it are woefully incomplete......not much to recommend here except run the other way.

Yes, I would recommend Dr. Michael Moscowitz to someone in need of a surgeon. I felt very comfortable and at ease with Dr. Michael Moscowitz treating me. He spent time listening to my concerns and offered recommendations. Dr. Michael Moscowitz is a conservative doctor. He is not one to rush into surgery and explains your condition with clarity. Dr. Michael Moscowitz is a caring and excellent doctor. I would give him a five.

It was the worst of covid here and I had gallstones and I was terrified. Dr. Moscowitz took the time to go through my whole cat scan piece by piece even though it was clear that the culprit was gallstones. It gave me a lot of insight into my overall abdominal health. He answered all of my questions. He allowed me to explain my worries rational or not and he was direct about his recommendations and the reason for those recommendations. I had to call the on call once and Dr. M actually called me back personally and scheduled for me to come in for further assessment. My surgery went well. All is better. Would highly recommend.

Our 91 yr old mom on 3 occasions received care from this wonderful physician. Our mom was concerned that her wishes might not be met. In Dr Moscowitz she found a caring, compassionate Dr. who listen to her and spoke directly to her regarding her wishes. He understood her feelings and how she wanted to proceed at this stage of her life, all the while trying to be aware of her care and quality of life that was so important to her. As a family he was wonderful to deal with and made sure we understood the graveness of her illness. He kept us informed by phone daily, sometimes more, which in these covid times was a blessing. The end of her life was peaceful as she wanted. We as a family cannot thank him enough for the care he gave her in her final days. We would all highly recommend him as a Dr. As a Dr, in today’s world of medicine he is a very rare find!
