Dr. Michael Muto, MD

As a physician myself, I did a lot of search and found Dr. Muto. After first visit with him, I knew he was the physician/surgeon I was going to fully trust with my treatment plan and I am glad that I did. His knowledge, expertise, caring and compassionate attitude, spending as much time as needed to go through all the details, explaining everything even the possible bad ones in a positive way and with ready solution for everything makes him the best of bests. Im so blessed to have found him, and have had him as my surgeon. He is an expert in the field and knows what he is doing so well, and he and his team go above and beyond to provide the best care for patients. Thank you Dr. Muto :)

Best in the business, spent more time and came up with a much less invasive treatment plan then another doctor previously recommended. Would recommend to all friends and family!

My 80 y.o. mother required surgery and she was referred to Dr. Muto. I can't say enough good things about him. Even though I'm sure he's very busy, he spent time answering our many questions, before and after the operation. He explained things in a very clear, easy-to-understand way. We felt very comfortable trusting him with our mother's care.

Dr. Muto is one of the best Gyn doctors. Why? Because he not only is extremely brilliant, but has the patience to make sure he understands your concerns about your health and wellness. I was very sick. No one could find out what was wrong. Dr. Muto took charge and within one visit made a plan to give me back my health. I highly recommend him and his team of nurses. Also, your in the best hospital in the world. Brigham and Women's and Dana-Farber!

I thought Dr Muto was excellent! Very patient and informative in explaining everything. His whole practice was a pleasure to deal with!

A good clinician for sure...and surgeon. I didn't continue with him due to his beside manner. Very little sensitively.. and started off my consultation with survival rates..not a care in the world where I might be coming from. Some people don't mind..as long as they are good. I need something else. A little scary...but he has not gotten to where he is if not talented.

Dr Muto did my cancer surgery on 4-29-11 and today I am 5 years cancer free!! I have seen him many times over the last 5 years for follow up along with my team of doctors from Dana Farber. Dr Muto and Dana Farber are the best. Thank you Dr Muto!!!! Xxxxx

Dr. Muto was my surgeon in November 2015. He came highly recommended by my Gynecologist who I trust very much. I was extremely impressed the first time I met Dr. Muto--he was very patient, empathetic, listened intently and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. More importantly i never felt pressured to make a decision on whether to have surgery or even to have him as my surgeon. Dr. Muto took the time to explain everything pertaining to my care. Dr.Muto is absolutely the best - besides being an expert in the field and a superb surgeon, he spends extra time with his patients answering questions and explaining - so you feel that he really cares! He uses team resources (radiologists, pathologists,etc) to come up with the best possible solution. Highly recommend.

Muto removed my ovary-it was not cancerous and was producing follicles-I was not in menopause.Removing one ovary accelerates the onset of menopause by several years--was the last thing I wanted and he assured me removal of ovary was last resort-he lied.He did not provide adequate follow-up care for my symptoms associated with lower estrogen.He destroyed my quality of life.He lacks empathy-only cares about reproductive function of women's bodies-our sexuality is unimportant to him.
