would not recomend this MD
I would like to think that Dr Nurzia is a fine clinician, however he lacks people skills. He does not return calls as he 'can not bill for that time, and it would be a waste of his time'. ( direct quote). My anxiety about his refusing to monitor an issue led to his saying, 'I understand you are anxious, but I am not your psychiatrist'. I would never recommend him to anyone who asks me.

Absolutely horrible
I have never seen a doctor seemingly so uninterested in helping individuals. He was late to my appointment and quick to rush out. Talked down and disregarded what I said, chalking up my visit to “mental health” and claimed I should just “take a walk”. An embarrassment to the medical community. Would not recommend

No, I wouldn't recommend Dr. Nurzzia who had been recommended by my Cardiologist. He seems like a nice doctor but his office in Stamford is either disorganized or the doctor is. My first visit to the doctor went okay the first time. Forty minutes wait time after being shown into one of the examination rooms. When I came for a second appointment. The doctor seemed confused forgetting why I had come the first time. After that in my follow-up correspondence with the doctor, it took three weeks to get my phone call returned. The office feels very disorganized. Even after reaching someone about my medications, the wrong medication dosage was again prescribed which had been the subject of my inial inquiry and phone calls.

I recently visited Stamford Hospital ER with an acute Kidney Stone episode and was fortunate enough to get Dr Nurzia as my doctor. Not only is he a brilliant clinician with a cutting edge solution to my issue but is also incredibly caring and a true healer. In addition, his office staff is beyond wonderful. My situation is not an easy one that involves a 3-step process and they did everything in their power to make it work for me in the best way possible. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Nurzia and his staff for helping me to feel wonderful again in such a short period of time. If you have any urology issues at all, I would highly recommend consulting with Dr Nurzia. I’m positive that you will be glad you did. Jacqui Justice, MS, CNS, Clinical Nutritionist

Dr. Nurzia performed my Vasectomy. Amazing bed side manner and my experience at the Surgical Center was incredible! All of the staff, from the admins, to the nurses, to the anastesiologist, to the doctors were awesome! They knew i was nervous and high-maintenance, so they made my stay as comfortable as possible. Each person involved in my surgery introduced themselves, sat and talked with me, joked with me and calmed my fears! This was truly an amazing experience! Thank you all!

Dr. Michael Nurzia was referred to be during an extremely difficult period in my life. Essentially, I was dealing with a “cascade” of health issues. Dr. Nurzia was the sixth doctor I had seen and I was very fed-up by the time I saw him. He was extremely patient, kind, knowledgeable, and the best doctor I had seen. He was able to get my issues under control while always treating me like a person. He is very capable and caring. I have another issue and didn’t think twice about going back to him!

I'm a current patient of Dr. Nurzia. Of all the possible urologists out there, I feel extremely grateful that I found him. Anything you read about not having time to discuss issues is patently false. He has gone out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable with the process and that I had all my questions answered; even those I didn't ask. I can recommend him in the strongest possible terms. Superb Dr

After reading some reviews here about Dr Nurzia's bedside manner, I was skeptical. However, after meeting him and then receiving treatment for my bladder and prostate issues, I couldn't be more pleased. He is professional, thorough, and spent more than enough time with me to explain my condition and potential treatment options, as well as potential side effects.

Facing going on a catheter program, due to an enlarged prostate, to protect my Kidney’s, Dr. Nurzia, explained an alternative treatment for an enlarged prostate, TURP laser surgery, (view this procedure on his website). I couldn’t have made a better decision, or have more praise for Dr. Nurzia, his guidance and care before and after surgery. Remarkably, only two days in the hospital, amazingly, no discomfort or pain after the surgery & great care received by all at the Stamford Hospital.

Dr. Nurzia agreed to see me despite it being his day off as he had cases in the hospital. He saw me in between cases & patiently explained my condition, presented to me the options & pros and cons of each, in order to come up with a care plan where I am actively a part of, so I will know what to expect. When I opted for the surgery, he expeditiously sent me to the hospital & booked me for surgery the SAME day. Needless to say I was able to spend Christmas at home. Genuine care for patient.
