Encephalomalacia after sinus surgery
I felt rushed into surgery by the practice and once it happened he was incredibly annoyed that my bleeding persisted for weeks after my operation. 12 years and two brain aneurysms later this turned up on an MRA scan: “Encephalomalacia/gliosis within the anterior left temporal lobe is noted. Status post endoscopic sinus surgery.“ I don’t know the long term consequences of this, but he was completely unconcerned with my well-being and disregarded my peace of mind as a patient. Now it is apparent I was harmed by the procedure. I cannot recommend avoiding this doctor enough. It has been life altering.

I found the office staff to be very nice, but if you are looking for a doctor with good bedside manners, look elsewhere. I went to him for an ear infection and he prescribed medication. However, he did a treatment with some sort of instrument that was very painful. When I pulled away, he was quite annoyed. I am surprised to see that some people have given him good reviews.

Dr. Pickford performed sinus surgery on me. He was very flexible, squeezing me in as a new patient and having my surgery done within two weeks so I could get it done before my deductible kicked in new in January. He had great bedside manners and was very helpful throughout the process.

I went to Dr Pickford for a sinus surgery procedure. After the surgery I still had concerns and residual symptoms. I tried to address these concerns with him at follow up appointments and he was noticeably annoyed. His bedside manner is significantly lacking. To address my concerns that were not resolved I sought a second opinion at a different office and found out my sinus surgery was totally unsuccessful and will now have to have another one. I would not recommend this physician to anyone.

I'm really surprised that Dr. Pickford's rating is average. I went to him for not only for sinus congestion surgery but also for surgical sleep apnea treatment. He was exceptionally knowledgable about my options. Post surgery I not only have clear sinuses but I've also been able to stop using my CPAP. I feel he's a gifted surgeon and have already recommended him to some of my friends.
