Wasted Trip
Drove almost two hours. He spoke less than 100 words to the patient, a nervous 6 year old. This made for a waste of time as there was no rapport. He expected my shy and nervous son to sit still and remain statuesque for this stranger without so much as a hello or any back and forth beforehand. He tried using metal tweezers to reach into his ear, with a 'sit still, don't move your head.' This resulted in an inner ear cut found later at home. He also tried to scope his nose without any coaching or discussion to calm him down. Wasted trip. Front desk girl was a treat too. Five minutes late to the appointment. Some days you just do your best. She acted like we were a half hour behind schedule.
