Dr. Michael Potts, MD

He has no bedside manner, and can be completely abrasive. He's the worst doctor I've ever had. Went to Mercy for miscarriage, ER. Nurses and staff were wonderful. He came in and threw back the sheet off me, as I lay there crying and bleeding. And began pushing on my stomach. I didn't know what to say, and then he began questioning me in an argumentative way about my pain. He was so rude, my family and I were shocked. I asked for another doctor. He said he was the only one that night. I was so upset, I told him I would rather go to another hospital. He just shrugged it off. The visit ended and he left. The nurse stayed with me while the miscarriage completed and I left. I can't believe he is still at Mercy.

The office and staff are fine and clean. However, Dr. Potts is a total different issue. I saw him 11 years ago and had no issues. However, now I've got a major issue. My bp was very high due to being in pain and a major toothache. He argued with me about pain and infection increasing blood pressure. Then asked if I had a pcp which I don't. Recommended an excessive amount of testing and proceeded to give me scripts for bp and another issue. Really bad side effects. I won't go back nor recommend.

Considerate and thorough. Makes sure things are done right- which is exactly what you want when having a baby. He made me feel safe and well taken care of at all times. He has delivered all 3 of my babies has been an outstanding doctor each time! And his nurse Michelle is phenomenal!

Worse experience I have ever had with a dr in my life. Ran a bunch of test and then told me I was to fat to have a hysterectomy. And used those words. No respect for the patient.
