Excellent doctor
Dr. Rochon-Duck is an excellent doctor. He listens and communicates very well. He is very thorough and kind. So happy that he is my cardiologist. His office staff is very friendly and helpful too.

1pm appointment, first patient but still waited 25 minutes for Fellow to arrive. Thirty minute wait for nurse to bring consent forms after consult with Dr. Rochon-Duck. That being said, both doctors provided comprehensive information regarding cardioversion and patiently answered all questions.

Doctor was very thorough in going through my test results from another provider. Asked history of my condition. I really appreciate the patience and attentiveness of the doctor to listen to all my concerns. Then, he pointed out issue that should be addressed and options.

I see Dr Rochon annually and he always wants me to do an EKG however it's done after the visit so I have to wait until the MA gets to the room. In my opinion, an EKG could be done during room check in process while waiting for the provider to get there. That way, the EKG is available for the provider to review with the patient in the room during the visit. Also, isn't there a way to program into the EMR to order labs a few weeks prior to the annual appointment so that the patient doesn't have to be the tickler?

Dr, Rochon-Duck is a very professional, and personable physician. I've had the two heart conditions for at least 10-15 years. They were previously treated by a non-UCI cardiologist. Dr. Rochon-Duck explained them better, and dispelled some misinformation I was given along the way. I like his goal of reducing maybe even stopping two of the medications, one of which (flecanide) that has side effects. That was never discussed with my previous physician. I appreciate that! I really feel cared about.
